Even though FAU is often seen as a commuter campus, that doesn't necessarily mean that the University doesn't take care of the facilities students use while they are on campus. The University Center is definitely the hub of campus life, where most students end up at some point during a typical class day. Overall, the University does a pretty good job of providing various amenities for students, including athletic facilities, a Starbucks, etc.

In November 2009, FAU made a push toward a "greener" existence. One of the first things to get cut was the printing and processing of more than one million pages each year. This proved to be a simple sacrifice since most things can be done electronically now, anyway.

As a home game, the competition takes place at Dolphin Stadium. As an away game, the bowl is played at FIU Stadium in Miami.
