FAU is not that power football school that some look for in college, but don't let that fool you, because FAU athletics are on the rise. Here me out, our starting quarterback, for football, was a rookie last year, first year, and he did great. Almost beating Florida, sadly losing in overtime, brings hope for the future. The OWLS are on the hunt, looking for prey, and demolishing competition. OH and did I mention that FAU's paintbal teaml is FIRST in the WORLD! That's Right, THE WORLD. Paintball doesn't get the same sense of school spirit that comes with football, but there is more to offer than just football. Every year more and more teams are branching out to become the best at something, whether it is paintball or quittage, don't let ESPN tell you that your sport isn't good enough, be heard, more important, show them who is boss.

My experience at FAU has been quite interesting so far. I've met so many different people of different ethnicities and backgrounds, and I've also taken many interesting classes where the professors encourage their students to use critical thinking which lead to intriguing class discussions. FAU has little unique qualities to it that only students that go to FAU would understand, such as the "breezeway", the "spaceship building", and a little forest we like to call "Narnia"!

I currently attend Florida Atlantic University and I must say it is a big surprise from what I expected! The school is very diverse and there is always something to do meaning beer is always clubs, activities and even games that you can attend. The academics are good overall but just says all schools you should be Setting out extra time in order to study and to be focused and figure out what exactly that you want to do because I know a lot of kids in college have an idea at first but then decide on switching maybe after the second year. There is always upperclassman who can help guide you in terms of degrees and their experience with the type of professors here. Overall, it's a great school to attend I'm glad I came.
