4 College Senior

Health & Safety: Campus Police are always there when you need them. The campus is very well guarded because the police station is on campus. Depending on the time you may even see police on bikes patrolling the campus, and there are plenty of safety spots in which you can press an emergency button if you are being attacked or followed.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I feel generally safe on campus. Since I am a commuter, most of the time I am just going from one building to my car and back so it is not an issue walking alone.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I think the school is very supportive when it comes to the security and safety of the campus and students on campus.

2 Recent Alumnus

Health & Safety: the parties get out of control and the public has too much access to being on campus allowing students not to be safe

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The police are always there when needed. There are very few issues and any uncertainties of safety are taken care of immediately and seriously.

Health Services is available to all students, regardless of your health insurance. There are two nurse practitioners and one physician. They are all trained and certified to diagnose students and provide prescriptions if needed. The physician is on campus one day a week but is on call the other six days. Health Services provides educational programs throughout the year about healthy living for students. Vaccinations are also available. There is one hospital, Leominster Hospital, which is about a 15 minute ride from campus. Burbank Urgent Care, a clinic for minor health issues, is about a five-minute ride from campus. Campus Police may bring you to either place if need be.

Campus Police is located on North Street directly across from the Recreation Center. They patrol campus 24 hours a day, even when class is not in session. They are all certified police officers, meaning they can do anything a police officer in your hometown can do, such as carry a gun, make an arrest, etc. The Rescue Squad on campus, organized by Campus Police, are all trained First Responders or EMTs. There is also a Student Escort Service on campus. The shuttle runs most nights until midnight, and then campus police can escort you to your destination after that. The escort service is a free service to students, and escorts always carry a two-way radio to immediately get in touch with Campus Police dispatch if necessary.
