There are many different student personalities around campus. The style and personalities of people depends on your social circle and sometimes your major. The communications department is very large and that can sometimes have more of the nerdy film kids on campus. However, there is definitely a clear distinction between the attractive students, both girls and guys, and the nerdier, less attractive students.

Dating isn't a predominant subject on campus. Yes, students are in relationships, some from back home or other colleges. Others are in relationships with students on campus. After parties, some students have found themselves in the awkward "one-night stand" situation. But for the most part, students take care of friends and make sure these situations do not occur.

Many students find their friends and create very close-knit groups. Some students stick to similar personalities and interests as their own, and then there are other students who like to hang out with many different students. Our school is 50 percent commuters and 50 percent residents, but that doesn't stop people from making friends on and off campus. Orientation, clubs and organizations, and classes are great places to meet new people.

Social Scene
Students are very social. There are usually a lot of people hanging out outside of Russell Towers or Aubuchon Hall at night. Parties are usually pretty easy for students to find, but sometimes you do need to pay in advance to secure a spot since the houses are pretty small. FSU is a very friendly campus where you almost never have to open a door for yourself.
Hookups or Relationships?
It's college, many people may see themselves in a "one night stand" situation after a long night of partying. There are many students that are dating; some date people that do not go to FSU (possibly previous relationships before college, friends from home, etc.), and some are in relationships with other students on campus. Dating isn't a huge discussion or even something that you see all over campus. It usually depends on the student and what they are comfortable with.
Dress Code
During the day, students dress in very casual clothing, jeans, T-shirts, and sweats. Some students like to dress a little nicer for classes in skirts, dress pants, or dresses, but this is rare. Students love to get dressed up for parties, fun mini-dresses or skirts for girls and nicer jeans or shirts for guys. There is no set dress code for students, however on the occasion that you are giving a presentation in class, a professor might recommend you dress as if you were going to a job interview.
