Off-Campus Housing

Off-Campus Housing: Landlords take advantage of the fact that no one wants to live in the tiny dorms so people are often willing to pay outrageos apartment or house rent just to get away from the dorms. I think that its not insanely bad but still prices are quite high for a college student.

Off-Campus Housing: I like it because it is much cheaper than living on campus, however this also reduces opportunities for socialization and extra exercise because you are driving instead of walking everywhere.

There is a pretty decent amount of off-campus housing options. These vary from apartments to renting houses. It is fairly easy to obtain off-campus housing, especially if the process is started early, like early October for the next school year. They are very close to campus. Most of the housing is only a walk away from the school. The cost is pretty average, not too high or too low, with average quality, safety, variety, and landlords.

Most students think that it is definitely worth it to move off campus when given the opportunity and many do. The price is cheaper than living in the dorms and having a food plan. Plus, the freedom is worth it! The only problem is that students do have to wait until they are 20 to move off campus for living. When it comes to the school, Ferris does not help to locate off-campus housing options for students. Instead Ferris offers cheaper rates and incentives for upperclassmen to stay in the dorms their last two years of college.
