Greek Life: words words words words words i am not a greek nor plan to pledge

5 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek life here is unlike any other Greek community -- we are a family and we embrace non-Greeks and encourage going Greek and Greek unity. Going Greek at Ferris was the best decision of my life!

5 College Junior

Greek Life: I was in a fraternity and since it was a criminal justice fraternity it was very selective. i had to leave due to money constraints but it is the best group of people I have met. The process to get in was tough but well worth it. Since it's a co-ed fraternity there isnt any housing for it. those who dont make it try again because they like it so much. There is always a stigma of every fraternity partying from teh non greeks.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I do not think Greek life is that important at Ferris. Houses are not allowed for Sororities making it different than most schools. I am not sure how the social life is with Greek Life.

Greek Life: Most Greeks are really nice and accepting of other students, but I was always told to stay away from the Pikes.

Greek life is fairly average in scope. Students do not have to join an organization to have fun, and there is little to no effect on the social scene. Most non-Greeks are indifferent to the Greeks and do not see them any differently than themselves. Greek organizations are semi-active on campus. They take part in fundraisers, bring different events to campus, and do a lot of work in the community. Around campus, many of the students involved can be seen representing their organization by wearing their sorority or fraternity letters.

There is not that much housing that is available for the members in the Greek organizations. They live in pretty average housing like other non-Greek members off campus, and there is no special housing for them. The process of getting into a Greek organization is seen as pretty easy. Each organization has different requirements and a different process for a student to be asked to join, though.
