4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I'm thankful that my counselor is so likable and understanding

3 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: Since it's such a small school, there aren't THAT many different course times available, but they are varied enough that with some thought, you can figure out what would be best. Also, counselors are EXTREMELY helpful with scheduling!!!

5 College Freshman

Career Services: The transfer center is so helpful in transferring to 4 year degrees, the counselors really help keep you on top of where you need to be each semester so you are right on track all the time and you can feel confident knowing you are right where you need to be to succeed.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Dr. Bagley is an amazing professor!! It's because of him that math was my highest grade this past semester! And the equine teachers are so great at what they do, and they are only demanding because they have to be, it comes with the horse industry.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: We have already had two famous horsemen on campus teaching us, and if somebody were to make an impression on an employer, they would have no trouble finding a job.

5 College Freshman

Academic Experience: My GE classes are perfect for my skill level and my equine classes teach me SO much!

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I am absolutely in love with this school. It is so unique being in the middle of the mountains in a tiny town. I'm so glad I'm choosing to stay for the new bachelor's program!

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Given the small population the school has, it is easy to create and change a schedule based on your individual needs. Also, the academic advisors know every student on a personal level which is nice when trying to balance school and personal life needs with classes.

2 College Sophomore

Career Services: It is only a two year school therefore there aren't many post-grad services at all. You can get help with transferring, but whether your credits will transfer or not depends on how much attention you paid to the admissions process since day 1.

2 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I don't know much about career prospects at my school. There are a few internship opportunities but they aren't well-known and they don't cover very many majors.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Class sizes are small which is nice, the courses offered covers the majority of a students need, however not many students are career oriented. Many are there for athletics or don't have a clear idea of where they want to continue after FRC.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: There are many classes that don't take much thought at all to pass. However there are a select few professors that enlighten their students.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The school gives plenty of special treatment to students that deserve it. Athletes get plenty of perks at the school. There are many opportunities financially and academically to help you be successful. Free tutoring, free food, advising, and events all year long. It's a great place to go for an AA.

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Feather River College is the most flexible school.

5 College Junior

Online Courses: I am currently taking one online course and it is very user friendly. The book is attached to the website and I can use it as a reference along with my instructors notes, videos, and other media she has included in the class. The workload is very manageable, not to much and not to little. We learn what we need to, in order to pass the exams.

4 College Junior

Career Services: After graduating, there are many doors opened for you to pursue your degree.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: This is a small school in a small town, so there are some internships available, but not an abundance like other universities or community colleges.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: Every professor at this school genuinely cares about you. They want you to succeed and will spend countless hours with you trying to help you understand the material.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: The academics at this school teach you what you need to know for your major. Every course gets straight to the point, and includes lectures, lab, and study groups to succeed.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Feather River College is very unique because it is so small, yet filled with dedicated students and staff. The school is in Quincy, CA with a population of 5,500. Everyone knows everyone and it is nice to see familiar faces everyday, where as a university is so large that you do not know too many people.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: It is pretty easy to pass classes at FRC

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I have had a great experience at Feather River College. It is somewhat easy to find a an on campus job, the town has a lot of character, and there are amazing people here. I would highly recommend FRC to a student athlete that is trying to get their lower division classes done at a community college.

5 College Senior

Career Services: The athletics guidance councilor is fantastic.
