Drug Safety: Not entirely the schools fault, but people quickly catch on where in Manhattan they do not card and can get alcohol. There isn't necessarily drinking in dorms more so off campus and people come back intoxicated

Drug Safety: I have never heard of anything bad happening because of drugs or alcohol. Security people are always present and I think students would not decide to "have fun" on campus, knowing how strict rules are. I believe alcohol and drugs are not a problem on campus.

As it is at any college, the FIT campus is very strict about drug use. Those involved keep it on the down low. There are potentially high risks for getting caught with drugs at FIT, especially for those that live in the dorms. Those caught using drugs are subject to academic probation and can possibly be kicked out of the residence halls. Thus, because of the consequences, many students choose to abstain from drug use and abuse. In addition, there's no pressure to partake for those who wish to stay out of the drug scene.

While the vast metropolis of New York City might make it seem like drugs would be easy to find, because FIT is so strict about the issue, finding drugs on campus can be a difficult task.
