Student Body: The best part of attending FIDM is the acceptance of all students and majors. No matter what classes you're taking, everyone always thinks everyones projects are outstanding, which they are. We mostly have girls attending but there seems to be a lot more boys lately because I think more are branching out. FIDM has a huge variety of ethnicities, we are definitely one big melting pot of a campus.

As a campus, FIDM is extremely diverse in pretty much all aspects. The average student? That's hard to define because there are so many different types of people from different locations, religious backgrounds, economic statuses, and even different sexual orientations.

FIDM is a place that students can feel comfortable being themselves or even discovering themselves. There are a lot of out-of-state and international students, so there is plenty of variety on campus. FIDM has the Cross Cultural Student Alliance, which is for students to learn about other cultures and backgrounds.

Typical Peers
The uniqueness of the FIDM student body is one of the best things about campus. There are tons of different styles, backgrounds, religious affiliations, interests, etc, but student love for art, design, and business brings everyone together. Students often bond through having classes or majors together, or through similar tastes in fashion, music, or even geography (where a student might be from in the country or internationally).

Most clubs are open to any currently enrolled student, and one can become an active member by attending weekly meetings and monthly events.
