3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The class sizes are small which is excellent because students can get more attention from the professors and help if needed.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: This school offers great opportunities in the Business field and provides numerous networking opportunities. This is important to me, considering I am pursuing a degree in Accounting. There's a lot of clubs as well as programs that FDU provides that prepare you for the real world.

Health & Safety: We have "campus cops" also known as P.S. The drive around campus periodically and watch cameras on a regular basis. Despite these beneficial things, the safety of our campus could be improved. As of right now if an unwanted individual came on campus to cause problems they could.

Campus Housing: The best option cost the most which is Northpointe. This particular building generally has two to a room with a bathroom and has the most space compared to other buildings. The worst option is the Lindens. This building has jail like walls and it has generally six to a suite with one bathroom that has one shower and two bathroom stalls.

Greek Life: Many Greeks have a lot of educational events as well as give back to the community.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Our school spirit is not the greatest, "fans" only come out once in a blue moon or if it's on T.V.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The school ,academically, is great despite certain professors who I personally feel grade unfairly. The social life on campus has room for improvement since there's not much to do on this small campus. Be prepare to see squirrels, raccoons, skunks, and cats roaming around on campus. The cafeteria food is not that desirable but will get you past the day. Jeepers , which is another place where you can eat besides the cafeteria, is similar to a pizzeria. This is the best food you will receive on campus, other than that prepare to order food on a regular basis!! During the weekends, the campus is almost completely vacant.

Campus Housing: The Lindens are nice. They are close to the SUB (cafe) and most of the buildings where classes are. Northpointe is probably the newest and the nicest, but it is the most expensive.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: There is no Greek housing. Greeks are around but they do not play a role on campus really. There is no pressure to join Greek life here.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: FDU is a D-1 school so there is some emphasis on sports here, but it's not much. The only time people really ever get excited is when the men's basketball team is doing well.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: FDU is what you make of it. The academics are probably the best thing.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: My advisor and teachers are great. I feel that they car about my education.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: I don't participate in the sports selection because I do not stay on campus. I am a adult learner and I have a full time job in the private sector and motherhood. I have been in a gym once and it seemed to be state of the art.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: I like my major classes. Hate mandatory core and electives. The curriculum for science majors is harder than most schools. Registration is annoying if you dont have enough credits and a class gets full before it is your turn to register. Workload gets tough at times. The "commuter lounge" and dickinson hall are the worst places to study. The library is full of loud students but is more tolerable.

Health & Safety: I have never experienced a crime on campus first hand. However, i do wish that there were locked doors or that you have to swipe an ID to get inside buildings. Anyone can walk into any building except the library and that feels unsafe.

Overall Experience: Speaking from a chemistry major pov, my professors were very nice and very into their subjects. I enjoyed their classes. I hated having to take core classes and english classes, made it feel like high school. All my professors knew my name, they did not have TAs but have graders. Class sizes are small except for major lectures like general chemistry and biology, but even then my professors knew me by name.

Overall Experience: If I could go back I would start at community college first and then transfer. The education, at least in the first 2 years, was average and couks have been had anywhere else. The administration here is awful. The secretaries and administrators treat students like they are subhuman or something. I have never been treated fairly by these people. The professors are fine but I feel like my education is overpriced.

Health & Safety: Personally, I never felt very safe walking across campus alone at night. I've known people who were sexually assaulted on campus. Once there was an armed robbery on the bridge or something? One time I lost my wallet and when I went to Public Safety a few days later, they said no one had turned one in. When I went again a few days later someone had turned it in and I don't think anything was missing from the wallet, so that was cool. There are security cars who will transport you back and forth but I've only ever seen people who were injured use them.

Overall Experience: Classes are okay. Some professors care, some don't. Administration sucks, especially if you don't know what you're doing/are a first gen student.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: There's career fairs and a career development center. I've never really gone to either.

Campus Housing: The Lindens are the average college housing experiences. Sometimes you can have rowdy suitemates who like to throw parties while you and your roommate lock yourselves into your room. This can lead to lack of sleep and very full bladders. RAs, in my experience, don't really do much. They'll come in and say, "Hey, keep it down," without any real threat behind it. Also they don't really care if you have alcohol even though it's a dry campus. Thermostat fights with your suitemates are also common. The Lindens are convenient because they're right next to the Student Union Building, where the main dining hall is. They're also relatively close to the classrooms on the Teaneck side of campus. The classes on the Hackensack side are a bit of a walk. Occasionally, sororities/fraternities hold rallies or something in the middle of the night? But I'm usually up at 2 am anyway because I'm a masochist so it's not really a big deal for me. Northpointe is very nice. What first comes to mind is the relief of walking in to the beautifully temperature controlled buildings after the long walk back from lunch at the SUB in August. While rooms are more spacious than the Lindens and you don't have to worry about suitemates, it's a far walk to the SUB. It's pretty close to Jeepers but you have to pay/use flex money there.

Greek Life: A couple of my friends are members of Greek life and it's very important to them. So if you're into that sort of thing, it's available for you. I'm indifferent to Greek life and the parties they throw so I've been unaffected by them.

3 College Senior

Athletics: As someone who cares very little about sports, I did a good job of avoiding anything relating to the sport teams.

2 College Senior

Overall Experience: The classes aren't too horrible, but the administration is all over the place. It's impossible to find answers or get anything done. I also feel that they should not offer my major (marine biology) because there are very few classes offered that relate to marine biology. Most of them are only available through a mandatory semester abroad in the Dominican Republic. If you are interested in marine bio, go elsewhere. If you are the first person in your family going to school, go elsewhere because you will drown in the disorganized and chaotic administration.
