Essex County College is a great and affordable choice for those seeking higher education. Although Essex County College only offers 2-year associate degree programs, the education is still great. Many alumni and current students may not agree with my opinion. However if a student is serious about their own education, then the rewards are plentiful. To top it all off, Essex County College also offers full credit transfer ppon completion of an associate's degree to many nearby 4-year universities, such as Rutgers Newark and NJIT. Overall, Essex County College is a great 2-year college that offers a lot of "bang for your buck".

The school has many financial help options but, they hide them from students. The professors are poor, lazy, often late, and hypocritical at the West Caldwell campus especially. Paying the tuition is difficult it when it should be simple. Most counselors have no authority or wish to actually help you, the few that do want to help are hard to reach. Its a "community" college with no sense of community because you can't speak to a specific counselor and students are anti-social (at the west caldwell campus).

Essex County College is a great school however, the organizational part of school such as administration can use improvement. Please be advised when you graduate,it will be a while before you have your degree. I would say a proximately five to six months after if you are lucky.
