Great Atmosphere and Teachers! People have different perspectives on community colleges. I decided that Essex County College would be the best fit for me, and I am glad I made the right decision. After being in two different classes, I came to realized that the teachers go out of their way to help students. They are always available and willing to lend a hand. Another thing that is great about community colleges is that the cost is way more efficient. Why would anyone pay more for something they could get for less? I am married and my husband is unemployed. We struggle to meet everyday expenses, and Essex County College relieves the stress of paying high loans. Overall, I am very pleased with my decision to attend this excellent school.

Stay Alert – Receiving financial aid can be a hassle. It is always good to do extra research concerning financial aid in order to get the most out of it. Obtaining the requirements on time is an important factor; do not wait at the last minute to apply for financial aid, because you might become stressed out or even lose a semester because you've realize that you are missing documents to complete it.Sometimes getting those documents take several weeks. Luckily I had my brother to help me and I had less trouble applying for it. If everything is done in a timely manner and you have the information you need, then you are good to go!

I really wish that a lot of the professors at this school were full-time. Many of them are part-time, meaning that after class they are rushing to leave to another school or home. So because of this, they do not have an office or office hours which makes finding them outside of class, impossible. The curriculum that the school offers is one that definitely enforces the grounds for any major. Class registration is great if you know how to do it online because it takes a few minutes. Going to school? You will never leave!
