Campus Housing: There are a few undesirable residential halls at Oxford, but most of the halls are new and incredibly comfortable. The rooms are spacey with high ceilings and lots of floor space, and the bathrooms and common areas are cleaned twice a day. Since the campus is small, there are always a lot of fun social events going on in the res halls, like karaoke or cooking parties. Lots of study areas and easily accessible fitness centers.

Athletics: I've attended a lot of sporting events here at Oxford, but women's soccer is definitely the most popular sport on campus. They're nationally ranked and the home games are always well-attended. There iisn't a lot of school spirit here because most students are more focused on their studies and school activities.

Overall Experience: I have had a fantastic experience at Oxford College of Emory University. Professors here are brilliant, available to students, and committed to teaching undergraduates before their personal studies and research. The atmosphere is quaint and home-like, and I've never felt unsafe on campus. Oxford is great for freshmen and sophomores who are eager to get involved on their campuses and get into leadership positions early. I feel like I have community here, which is something rare to experience in your first year of college. Food is fantastic, buildings are beautiful, and the small campus makes it easy to get to classes on-time. I would definitely recommend Oxford at Emory for your undergraduate experience!

Health & Safety: Emory works very hard to prevent sexual assault on campus. I feel safe on campus, as well, in regards to campus crime. People leave belongings in the library all of the time, because everyone feels very safe with their personal belongings.

Greek Life: Greek life is present on campus, but not overwhelmingly so. It's definitely there if you want it, but not if you have no interest. Overall, it seems to have a positive effect on campus.

Athletics: Sports are not a big part of Emory at all, but personally, I like that. There are definitely opportunities for anyone who wants to go out, but I think the student populace as a whole is more art-inclined. Sport events aren't regularly attended, but arts, community, and club events are. Also, I find everything I need at the gym, and the group classes are great!

Overall Experience: Some classes at Emory are very tough to get into- it's all about your registration timing.

Your courses and professors depend on which classes you get into, but they are generally great.

Campus Housing: Housing at Emory is great. Although I didn't receive the greatest dorm this year, all the dorms at Emory are generally great.

Greek Life: Greek life at Emory isn't the greatest. I wouldn't call it a real "Greek Life" compared to other schools.

Emory provides for a very unique and rewarding college experience. With the prestigious and academically rigorous University paired with the entertaining and lively city of Atlanta, your experience at Emory will certainly be a memorable one. You will be forced to work hard during your time at Emory, but you will hopefully see the benefits of this shortly thereafter. Many find Emory's celebrated diversity a blessing as well as a curse, as sometimes the various minorities or student groups become extremely cliquey and exclusive, leaving some students feeling left out. But for most this feeling does not last, and they quickly find their group of friends and people who they truly care about. There is a niche and group for everyone at Emory, but sometimes it can take a while to discover where exactly it is.

While the tuition rates at Emory are some of the highest in the nation, many students look back after a few years and feel that their time at Emory was well spent, literally and figuratively. The school has tons of invaluable resources to offer from the million-dollar facilities to the world-class professors, and your experience is truly what you make of it. The city also has an unlimited amount of opportunities and resources at each student's disposal as well. Both Emory and Atlanta have everything anyone could ask for and more, and until you realize this, you will not be able to fully understand the blessing of attending Emory.
