New College Dorms Coming Soon – Elizabeth City State University is starting much needed renovations and new construction regarding college dorms. The older dorms that are located in the back of the campus are the ones you want to stay clear of. Newer dorms such as University Suites are popular among students not only because it lies along the main courtyard and across from the gym and cafeteria but because it provides students with the opportunity to share a bathroom with less people. Viking Village is the ultimate dorm! Students enjoy a full size bed, their own bathroom ( in each room), and share a living room and kitchen. New construction has many students excited. The campus is taking on a "modern" style that is appealing to students and allows them to feel proud of their home away from home.

This School Isn't for Me – I honestly choose to come to this school because I was a follower at the time and wasn't a leader. This school is ghetto, hood, and has drama starring everywhere. The course curriculum is ridiculous. They offer classes such as (Graphic Design II) & (III), but don't offer (Graphic Design I) until a later time. This is setting me back! The administration staff is lazy and do things on their time when they get ready. The financial aid issues are chaos. The school is very messy. The school accepts more students than they can house and kids are left without housing. Overall it is a good school for someone trying to make it. The work is easy. I just never intended to attend school here. It isn't in my league. The students love to party and act childish. I hate it!

Dry Campus, Yeah Right! The university go through straight strides to stress the importance of having a dry campus and being drug free but (there is always a but) students are persistent in their pursuit of becoming intoxicated and indulging in drug use. It is hard to fight such a strong force of students to any campus administration around the world. The truth is alcohol and drugs are everywhere and Elizabeth City State University is no exception.
