Overall Experience: For a Psych major, it requires an advanced degree to work directly in the field. After my bachelors, I plan to search for a job working with people because Psychology is generally a field of study in human behavior.

Online Courses: I have never tried an online course at CSUDH.

Student Body: The student body here at CSUDH is diverse.

Tuition & Financial Aid: It's decent but be careful. If you are thinking about dropping a course, drop before school starts because even if you drop before the W deadline date, they will pro-rate your fees starting exactly on the day that school starts. So drop before school starts.

Academic Experience: The professors are not so good. Some are fair and challenging. Others don't care. For some, I questioned their education level.

Academic Experience: The workload is good and helps to prepare for graduate school.

Campus Resources: I am a transfer student. I like the Library and the parking structures available to students. It makes life easier when getting to class. Student life activities are starting to improve. However, I'm a bit disappointed with the staff. Yes, there are smaller classes available for students to interact one-on-one with instructors but I've had instructors that passed me with an A just to be rated as one of the coolest instructors alive to having instructors that would give out bad grades just for the fun of it. I think that CSUDH should definitely improve on their staff hiring process so that students could get the exact grades that they deserve.

Academic Flexibility: One thing that El Camino Compton Center can work on is getting more classes. I have had times where I could not register for a class because they fell on the same day at the same time. I had to choose between the two because they did not have other times for the class.

Overall Experience: I would definitely choose to go here again if I could do it over again. The school is a small campus. It is not over crowded like other community colleges which gave me the time that I needed with my professors. My favorite experience about El Camino College was the FYE program that they have there. The staff member that are apart of that program take their time to help individual students out. People write off El Camino Compton Center because of where it is located but I can say that it is a great and safe school to attend.

Overall Experience: Like any other student they have come across one bad professor. Out of the 2 and a 1/2 years that I have been at El Camino College I can honestly say that I have came across only one bad professor. Other than that all my other professors were great. They interacted well with students. They were available when they say they are. The class sizes are great. There were never too many students in one class. The one thing that I can say that I did not like about El Camino Compton Center is that they don't have a variety of courses offered there. If there is a certain class like, an art class or science class, they will only have a few at El Camino in Compton. A student would have to register for a class at the Torrance campus if they needed to that class. Other than my overall experience at El Camino College Compton Center has been great. I would not be ashamed to say that I received my Associates Degree from El Camino Compton Center.

Overall Experience: Coming into college for the first time was scary but with the help of the employees I was able to transition very easily.

Online Courses: While attending El Camino Compton Center I have taken 3 online classes and each online class was great. The professors responded very quickly if a student had a question. Also, the workload was very doable, it wasn't too much or too little. Students were able to react with one another online. At first it takes a little getting used to but once you get a hang of it its very easy.

Student Body: El Camino Compton Center is a very diverse school especially because they are joined with El Camino College in Torrance. With what I have seen at the school the Student Body is a very accepting place.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid office is very helpful while filling out the FAFSA. They help you fill the papers out and any questions that you have they try and answer to the best of their ability. If you want to receive financial aid from the school I suggest that you follow up with the paperwork that they ask for after your FAFSA has been processed. The education that is received at El Camino is worth the tuition that a person pays.

Career Services: I do not believe that El Camino has a career center and if they do I have never seen it nor heard about it.
