4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The teachers I had for my first semester were very friendly and they were always willing to help out while making sure that you knew your responsibilities upfront. The classes were informative and taught real nicely but they were made better by the unique personalities of the professors who provided lectures on the topics. Courses in some areas are very diverse while other areas are lacking but, in general, all the courses you need will be available to you. As for the class sizes, some classes had over 60 people while others had almost 30 but it never felt overcrowded or imposing.

Overall Experience: Faculty in the career center would provide any information they could to ensure you had the best chance of finding an internship in the area you desired. Support and advice is always available and internship opportunities were sometimes announced to students who where in that specific field and needed an internship for their degree.

Health & Safety: Campus police are always present and driving around to make sure the students and faculty remain in a safe and friendly environment. There's also emergency button stations around campus where if someone feels or was threatened, they can push the button and the campus police will automatically be notified.

Campus Housing: I've always looked forward to living on my own and finally being independent to do things my way. Living on campus was exactly what I thought it would be and it was very enjoyable. The rooms are decently sized and most of the people are very friendly and outgoing.

Greek Life: Members of sororities and fraternities get involved in events to make things fun and enjoyable for everyone on campus. They provide support for each other but they also provide support for others around them that are in need of it.

Athletics: Many students enjoy the athletic choices available to join and they allow people to become part of a team and to work together for a common goal. Students participate in the involvement of sports events by attending games and cheering on the home team to get them through the game. The teams are very well structured as well and they all work together as one in order to have fun and get competitive in the game.

Overall Experience: The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly with a lot of people around that are easy to get along with. I loved attending my first semester because I was able to adjust easily and fall into a comfortable schedule. My favorite part was the Scottish event Edinboro held which involved people with scottish backgrounds coming to the school dressed in the traditional kilt outfits and playing songs on bagpipes. There were also games and activities that centered around scottish themes including dancing and archery.

Health & Safety: Overall the campus is pretty secure. police get to situations within a reasonable amount of time. cops make patrols 24/7 i feel safe

Overall Experience: The quality of the courses are great! I have had excellent experience with my course load thus far. I did have a couple mishaps with some staff, but I think it was the difference of teaching styles that conflicted me. Other than that, the courses are taught by a highly passionate staff.

Overall Experience: Alumni work throughout the campus and take the time to get to know students so that they are able to place them in part time jobs and internships that interests them and pushes them to become a better person.

Health & Safety: Edinboro has many features on campus to provide campus security. All of the dorm buildings have access cards to get in, guest sign ins, and residential assistants on desk duty on the first floor. The campus police drive through campus 24/7 to ensure the safety of the students. There are blue call boxes all throughout the campus which anyone could use to contact the police if they do not feel safe or need help. The campus police station is located on the edge of campus, so they are near by at all times of day and night. We have safety notification systems that go to phones, emails, and will be announced by staff, Edinboro's television network, and so much more.

Campus Housing: The housing on campus is great, but the two year housing contract is a hassle. If it is easier for someone to move off campus after their first year, it should be allowed, but getting out of the contract has been a hassle for a lot of people I know. For the amount that we pay to live on campus seems reasonable at times, but at other times it seems like a rip off. One of the buildings flooded my freshman year. The whole highlands had to be evacuated and re-housed into the traditional dorms. The school said it would take a few weeks to fix, but it ended up taking the rest of the semester, which I think is absurd. People I know who were involved in this incident were extremely furious and I would have been, as well. Another problem I have noticed is a few of the highlands flood on the first floor. I am not sure how or why, but that can be an inconvenience, as well.

Greek Life: Greek life at Edinboro is huge! It is a main focus on campus since there are 5 fraternities and 6 sororities. There are always Greek life events going on around campus, such as philanthropy events, fundraisers, charity, and community service projects. I believe that the Greek life at Edinboro is a huge aspect. Non-Greek life members may think of it as the stereotypical movie 'Greek life', but to me it is so much more than that. Since I am apart of the Greek life on campus, I have been given so many extra opportunities that I may have never gotten if I was not in Greek life. Greek life opens so many doors for individuals to show their different strengths, leadership skills, life skills, and so much more.

Athletics: Athletics at Edinboro University are not the most interesting, unfortunately. We don't have a great winning record, but the athletes do an amazing job and are very friendly. The gyms on campus are very welcoming for people who are not athletic and there are always people around to help others if they do not know what to do.

Overall Experience: I would choose Edinboro University again because it feels so much like home! Everyone who attends is extremely welcoming, understanding, and passionate about what they are studying or teaching. Although sometimes I wish I would have looked into more schools, Edinboro is home for me and many others!

Campus Housing: The dorm i resided in was called the highlands. the highlands was very nice but way too expensive and not worth the price. the vibe was great except the football players. the process wasn't that bad to get housing. the worst option was rose hall which everyone called cell block R. the rooms where way to small for 2 people at a time

3 College Junior

Greek Life: the greek life isn't great, but it isn't terrible. the only time greek life is truly relevant is during greek week in the spring semester. During the rest of the year it doesn't really make a big splash because they don't do much other than party. even those parties aren't so great

2 College Junior

Athletics: The basketball teams are good but every other team we have is awful so people don't go to the games or loose interest

2 College Junior

Overall Experience: no real favorite experiences i would choose another school because i feel like i would have a better experience

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: When I was an art student, the professors were worse. Now that I'm a computer science student the professors are much more accommodating and friendly

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I'm not too worried aboUT not getting a job, as long as I do well in the rest of my classes.

2 College Junior

Health & Safety: It certainly needs to be imporved. I've been on the bus loop and groped before and nobody did anything. I've seen other students get assaulted on campus and nobody bats an eye.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: The housing is expensive, but laundry is free. The dorms are cheaply built and don't function well in northern climates.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: My friends in Greek life really enjoy their fraternities

3 College Junior

Athletics: I'm not terribly interested in sports, but the other students seem to enjoy them!
