College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I do not know much about the off campus housing, most of my friends are still on campus but the ones who do live off campus say it is good deepening on where you stay.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: theres a handful of places to eat within walking distance, but if you take the bus or drive to Erie, there is everything you could think of; from gas stations, fast food, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Burgers, they have everything you can think of you just have to find it.

Administration: They understand we are college kids and we are going to do things, they do not put up with drugs at all though. From what i have heard, they give you a warning then a citation etc but i have never experienced it so i am not sure. Noise in dorms is okay, it is kind of hard to control sometimes but the students are usually respectful during quiet hours. A lot of the teachers give bonus points for attending class, which is great. Having visitors is good, as long as they are signed in and following the rules they dont care, which is nice because we get to make our own decisions... basically learning to live alone. The only bad thing is parking for them, they either have to get a parking pass, which makes sense or they have to wait till a certain time so they do not get a ticket.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: They can be helpful when they choose to be, i have had many issues where they tell me to do something but dont help they just sit there and wait for you to basically figure it out. I have done loans before school even starts and halfway through the semester and they haven't even looked at my stuff.

Campus Food: Wow's chicken isn't always cooked, but the fries are delicious! the wraps and calzones are good. Van is not bad, you have to get use to it, there is a variety and it is buffet style but i think they need more options. They only change one station daily, all the other stations are the same. Rose is good! The food is always delicious! And the non student dinning staff are all great!

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I love having my own room! We have a living room an kitchen area which is great, and we have our own space so we are not together 24/7. Its great having a living room where we can hang out but its nice to be able to have your own room and be alone. My roommates and i get along well, and we respect each others stuff, we share most of the stuff, we all have our own cabinet space.

Off-Campus Housing: The off-campus housing is significantly better than the on-campus housing. It is less expensive, allows more freedom, and allows people of the different genders to live together, which are all reasons why I cannot wait to live off campus next year.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: The food on campus has the potential to be healthy in certain ways, but if you just survive on WOW's food, you are not helping yourself. The food and be very greasy and repetitive after a while and it is not cheap to get. The greasy food is less expensive while the healthy food is more expensive. So if you do not want to fall victim to the freshmen 15 curse, you will have to spend some extra meals in order to stay in shape.

College Sophomore

Party Scene: I do not go to these parties because I study a lot.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Living on campus can be a fun experience, but pricey.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Darrrow Apartments is located right next to Edinboro University but I am unaware of how cost effective it is to rent there.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: I don't go off-campus much but we have Subway, Giant Eagle, Wal-mart, Tim Hourton's, Perkins, Taco Bell and CVS-Pharmacy within a fairly close distance

3 College Sophomore

Administration: We have an attendance policy that you can only miss for each class as many times as it meets that week. For instance, if your class meets three times a week then you can only miss 3 classes that semester for that class.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Make sure to recheck all paperwork between yourself and the school. Many offices have been know to make mistakes.

College Sophomore

Party Scene: I have not participated in any parties. I am under age and prefer to not be around alcohol parties.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: There is a lot of food that is full of grease and not very many options for healthy choices.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I believe that living on campus give great social opurtunities. Especially in a residential housing option, people are able to meet friends and see them often.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: It is crucial to live on campus because of all the snow. Commuters have trouble getting to class on time. The dorms are nice and up to date, but they are expensive. The room I selected was not the one I received, however, after a week I was able to switch to the room I wanted

2 College Freshman

Scholarships: The income of my parents was too high, so I was not able to receive financial aid. I feel that it is unfair because I am the one that will have to take out loans and pay for my tuition in the future.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The campus is relatively small, which makes it safe. There are always police officers driving around campus to ensure the safety of everyone. Our RA's are very helpful and give us advice on how to stay safe. The doors to our hallway dorms are always locked, and the outside doors are locked after 9 P.M.

4 College Freshman

Majors: Most of the nursing students stick together because we study more than normal and have more difficult classes. I love all the professors I have had because they care about us. The Nursing building is a great facility due to all the support and simulations.

4 College Freshman

Academics: Being a Nursing major is difficult in any institution because the standards are set high. Edinboro offers many simulations that aid in nursing schools. The work load is more than any other major. During sophomore year, we are able to go out into the field and experience real nursing.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Greek students are very loud and outgoing. They tend to stay together and avoid other people. They constantly have meetings and get togethers. In order to get into a Greek organization, you have to pay money, and that does not even guarantee a chance into the group. They have to be chosen.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: There is a lot of student involvement for the football team. Many people come to watch the games; however, if any team is not having a great season, the attendance diminishes. Intramural sports are not promoted and you do not hear much about them unless you know someone with information. We have a beautiful dome that contains basketball courts and a track.

4 College Freshman

Administration: Edinboro has many professors that truly care about what they do. Therefore, they provide a minimum amount of days you may miss class until your grade will be lowered. There is a zero tolerance for drinking, drug use, and plagiarism.
