Overall Experience: A great college to attend.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: My favorite experiences so far have been the extracurricular activities. Sporting events, clubs and many other things have helped make my school experience a positive one.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I am so happy I am able to have a one on one connection with the professors and be able to meet whenever.

Administration: I have found there are so many positive, helpful administration members at Edgewood College. There truly exemplify that they are not here to get the students into trouble, but have shown they are willing to work with students to come up with a proper solution to an issue that has been brought to their attention.

Campus Food: I would say that the food at Edgewood is good, however there aren't as many healthy options as I would like. They have been working to change that though, and I can definitely say that throughout the year I noticed there were quite a few more healthy food options being added.

Scholarships: I would definitely suggest that you make sure you are involved in a wide variety of activities, because their are some scholarships that don't require you to be the star at a certain topic, just to be involved. Also apply for as many as you can. The nice thing about scholarships at Edgewood, is if the financial aid office sees you are a good candidate for a scholarship they will let you know, or sometimes the scholarships just gets added onto your financial aid. That happened to me this summer and it was like Christmas morning!

Campus Housing: I love living on campus. I lived in Stevie my freshman year, and am going to be living in Regina my sophomore. All of the dorms have their upsides. For incoming freshman who are looking for social living, I would definitely recommend Stevie or Regina. Stevie is a bit more, but you have a bathroom to share between your room and your suite mates room, which is GREAT! I got into the exact housing I wanted to, and you only have to fill out a quick questionnaire for the placement.

Party Scene: UW Madison students are professional partiers. It's generally pretty safe place to party too. The Campus police are friendly and pretty forgiving for any party so long as you're not destructive. Lots of spots to hang out and have a good time too, if you're not a drinker. Plenty of places to relax, read, snack, and chit chat.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: Edgewood is a private college, therefore expense is sort of ridiculous. I wish there were more scholarship opportunities here, but you're more likely to live off FASFA and private loans than anything else.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: It's a dry campus with only a few social centers. However, you are right near the heart of Madison where there are hundreds of shops, restaurants, museums, concert events, and libraries. The UW Madison is nearby so there are more than enough students hanging around and clubs/organizations to join. Edgewood provides a shuttle to and from the downtown area so you're not reduced to walking a couple of miles or spending money on transport. Edgewood is a nice, clean, and quiet campus. Although there have been security issues lately with assaults happening around it. Currently, there are great strides by the local police and campus security to make it safer.

Health & Safety: There are have been several assaults lately. Edgewood and the police are doing what they can to make the campus and the area around it safer.

Athletics: If you didn't care about football, hockey, basketball, volleyball, or softball before attending Madison, you will change your tune. It's a way of life here in a positive way. If sports are never going to be your thing? Go for the band. ALWAYS go for the band!

Greek Life: I haven't had a lot of experience with this. I know I haven't heard of any complaints.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: The houses and apartment are expensive, buddy up or you're out of luck. Houses can be pretty cruddy on the outside, but location makes ALL the difference.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Madison food is amazing. So many choices, so many late hours. GO GO GO for the food and music and everything.

4 College Junior

Administration: Edgewood staff are pretty darn amazing. There have been security issues but they are trying very hard to make the campus safer, especially for the female students. I cannot say a bad word about the Student Office. It is filled with helpful, knowledgable people. However, they are only good at their job if your talk to them. They can't read your mind, and won't go searching you out if you're struggling. you have to take the first step to change things if you need assistance or guidance.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: It's pretty standard. You're better off spending your money at the awesome local markets and stores, and learning how to cook for yourself.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: Parties aren't allowed on campus since it's a dry campus. We do have a shuttle that runs from 9 pm to 3 am Thursday through Saturday and its great to use and get somewhere downtown

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are many options around Madison with many cultures. The diversity is great.

3 College Freshman

Administration: The strictness level is where it should be and the security guards are fine to get along with. Facilities are hard to deal with sometimes.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: The scholarship process was easy and managable

Campus Food: Food quality is a bit if-y sometimes and there aren't enough options to eat. I found myself getting sick of eating the same thing every day.

Campus Housing: The dorm I lived in, Regina hall, was from the 50's and it seems it hadn't been updated since then. The rooms are so tiny and you share this wooden closet/desk/wall thing and it's like you have the other person in your room with you. Since the hall was so old there was always a lot of dust which didn't help with allergies. Our cleaning lady didn't do much cleaning either, so that made it worse. She did more sleeping in our lounge and eating in our kitchen then cleaning. Regina hall was the cheapest option on campus and it was still pricey at around $8,500 a year. It'd be nice to get better quality of living and staff for the price.

Overall Experience: The only good thing about Edgewood is their Cutting Edge program.

2 College Freshman

Overall Experience: If you are looking for individual attention during class time you have come to the right place. The courses are by far the easiest college courses you could enroll into. My 349 class is very easy. If you are looking to actually learn something, I would recommend choosing a different school.
