Overall Experience: Eastern University is a school that has my utmost respect. First and foremost, based on the classes that I have taken, the education that one receives is phenomenal. Because of the school's relatively small population, most of the classes have no more than 20 students, with a few of the common classes having around 40. This allows for a very personal education that people cannot receive at traditionally large schools. As far as Christian schools go, Eastern is incredibly diverse, not just in race and gender, but primarily in beliefs. While all the teachers and professors have to sign a covenant of faith, their beliefs vary all around the spectrum. There are teachers who are Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Non-Denominational, and everything in between. This allows the students to have thoughtful and meaningful discussion regarding their own personal beliefs, as opposed to other schools that teach a single uniform way creating a cult of sorts of similarly thinking people.

As far as campus life goes, Eastern is a very beautiful campus. The school is built in and around a nature reserve, allowing for the campus to inhabit lots of friendly wildlife, in addition to gorgeous plant life. Campus activities, run by the Student Activity Board (SAB) are very frequent and usually quite inexpensive, if not free. Furthermore, the fact that the campus is only a 20 minute train ride away from Philadelphia means that there is always something to do.

A notable negative fact about Eastern is the way the administration deals with the diversity of beliefs. Because Eastern inhabits so many different views on so many different topics, the representatives of Eastern are afraid to share their own opinions on things, at risk of offending too many people. As such, while there are many beliefs among the faculty and students, no body quite knows what Eastern University itself believes. This causes many problems as far as rules go.

Overall Experience: To me, the second I stepped foot on the campus of Eastern University I loved and I knew this was the place for me. I can't really describe what I love more about Eastern, but I would have to say the top two things would be the environment and the people that already go there. So many people there are just so welcoming. It doesn't matter who you are, what race you are, if you are undergraduate or not. They just accept and welcome you. To me, there is nothing that can beat that.

Campus Food: The Roost is restaurant quality food but the other options are only slightly above cafeteria food. Lots of options though,

Administration: We are adults. If we want to have sex in our dorms I think we can handle it.

Campus Food: I only rate it as OKAY because I wish that there were fresher veggies and chicken nuggets available so picky eaters can eat heathy.

Campus Housing: While some of Eastern's buildings are old, they have the best communities, and Plant Ops are always willing to come fix your problems.

Off-Campus Dining: Wayne is filled with resturants. Eastern's favorites include Chipotle, Panera, Five Guys...

There is also great pizza shops and Chinese that deliver to campus for around 2 bucks.

Administration: I really enjoy the rules on campus. Yes, they tend to be more strict than other campuses; however, you know what you are signing up for when you commit. It is a dry campus and visitation is taken very seriously. I enjoy that because it makes for a positive school environment. And visitation hours are very tolerable

Scholarships: Contact is key. Emails don't normally go through so you have to either pay them a visit or call. They really want people to be able to attend their school so, they are more than willing to check again about how much money you receive and sometimes they give you more!

Campus Food: I really enjoy the variety of food that they serve, except on fish night. For someone like me with food allergies, they sure know how to make food that we can all eat. Sometimes you do have to get creative with what yoy eat, but mixing and matching lines is part of the fun. The Eagle's Nest has amazing breakfast sandwiches and other good food. The Breezeway is great for late night snacking and hanging out with friends for lunch when you are in the mood for fast food!

Campus Housing: Living in campus is amazing. There is so much community with the students, its like one big family. The dorms are very spacious and clean. Our cleaning staff does an amazing job keeping everything clean, even the bathrooms. Our dorms are close to classes and the greatest work spaces for homework (I.e. library and cafe).

Campus Housing: It was a fun place to live, I was surrounded by many wonderful people. The internet was not very good, it was hard to do homework. The people above and below me were really rude and loud. It was pretty expensive to live in the dorms.

Campus Food: Average quality. It's not great, it's not terrible.

Campus Housing: It really depends on the dorm building you live in! Eagle and Sparrowk have the newest buildings, but they're separated from the other dorm buildings and farther away from heart of campus. Hainer has the smallest dorms on campus, but they're manageable. Gough is probably the best dorm on campus.

Campus Housing: I enjoyed living on campus for all four years. I was satisfied with my dorm and the level of community that it had. All of the dorms are fairly close to the main buildings. I also find it important to mention that Eastern's campus is absolutely gorgeous in every season! There are quite a few restaurants (sit down and fast food) nearby and a huge mall. The college provides rides to the nearest train station that can take you into Philadelphia and many other locations.

Administration: It's not too strict but strict in areas that matter the most.

Health & Safety: Violence doesn't usually occur making the campus safe.

Campus Housing: The buildings are kept clean and the small campus makes the dorms close to the classes.

Off-Campus Dining: Not a lot of healthy options
