Overall Experience: Overall I have had a wonderful experience in college. I mostly stick to athletics and school, but i have made some really great friends and had some really impressionable professors. I really enjoyed my G.A for biology lab, he was really helpful and really engaging. But so far, no complaints.

Overall Experience: It is really not difficult to be informed on job and internship opportunities at school. Since i am in the pre-med track at school, I get consistent emails about opportunities specifically for medicine.

Health & Safety: The campus is located in a semi-unsafe area, so they do what they can to keep campus safe, but crime is uneatable. I personally have never been involved in a potentially dangerous situation, but it does happen.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I lived in the towers for the first two months of school and then moved out into the athletic dorms because i had roommate problems. I really loved the village, the space and quality was excellent.

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I am not really involved in the greek life on school. I know its not huge, but exists and they do great things for the community. It's mostly volunteer and community project based. You have to maintain a specific GPA in order to stay in it. I have a friend that is in a coed fraternity, and she really seems to enjoy it. It's a great way to make friends around camps.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: I am part of the Rowing team at my school, and we are division 1. The facilities that we have are very good, but a lot of the money goes into the football program and it makes it hard for the other athletes to get scholarships as big as the ones the football players get. The school is very supportive of most sports, but they seem to not be as interested in football. There are only around 500 athletes out of 20,000 students.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I've had a really great college experience so far and really love my school, even though it is small.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I believe the professors at Eastern whole heartedly want to help their students become successful in the real world.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The professors are all experts in their field, many of my professors have doctorates. Professors are required to have office hours and they always inform students when those are. Classes range in difficulty depending on the professor and the type of class and how much the student pays attention/tries. Often times as long as you go to class, take note, do basic studying then your grade will be pretty good

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Job and internships are not advertised very much but I'm sure they're there.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: There is a police department right on campus and there are emergency poles about every 100 feet. There is a clinic right on campus as well that is very affordable and easy to access.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: The housing is overall pretty great. Of course the rooms could be bigger but only one building has community bathrooms, the rest are two rooms sharing a bathroom. They're relit overly close to classes, (about 20 minutes walk from the furthest dorm to the furthest class). Their are social events set up by RAs and OMs almost every week.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek life doesn't make themselves very know except for a few events throughout the year.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: School spirit lacks because our major sports teams like football and basketball aren't very good but many of our less known sports are very good. Our swim team have been champions for over 30 years and our women's basketball team is also very good. The facilities are very nice for athletes, most of which practice in the convocation center which is next to our football field and indoor/outdoor soccer field.

Overall Experience: Eastern Michigan University is a very inviting and enjoyable environment to be in. The town is cute and has some nice hinge to offer but doesn't offer much social life when it comes to hangout places, but the neighboring city (Ann Arbor) has a lot to offer and is only 15 minutes away and is easily accessible by bus or car. The education at EMU is wonderful and many professors are willing to work extra with students to make sure they're on the right track. Overall it is a very nice school and I would suggest it to anyone.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: In the studios I take we have no more than eighteen students in the class and we usually have less than that which is nice because then we get more one on one time with our professors to discuss where we are taking our projects and what we should focus on more as well as what areas we need more help with in general. In my other classes we have more students but it it still a smaller number of students than when I was in high school and i find that it makes a better learning environment.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The program i am in keeps in touch with the alumni who went through the program and they are always letting the professors know when they are hiring a new intern or when they have a position open for another graduate. The students in this program often find the best internships available in the area and have been known to get the highly coveted ones in other states as well.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I feel safe while I am on campus because our department of safety is always around the campus and we have the posts with blue lights indicating a spot where you can call for help and at night you can always see at least three of these. As students we are also offered personal defense classes that we are strongly encouraged to take and they are definitely worth it.
