ECU students exist in all shapes and sizes. Guys range from boney pubescent types to muscular athletes. Some girls are rail-thin and look like they need to eat a dozen Krispy Kremes (without throwing them up afterwards), and many are also well-toned and athletic, or voluptuous vixens. Guys and girls at ECU are often both intellectual and good-looking. A glance at the parking lots reveals the variety of personality-indicating vehicles ECU students drive: big trucks with even bigger tires, mini-vans, beloved rusted-out souvenirs from two decades ago, boxy hand-me-downs, trendy SUVs, and brightly-colored boom-boxes on wheels.
Some ECU students are sexually promiscuous, but there is also a significant portion of students who are protection-conscious, and some who have decided not to be sexually active until later in their lives. No matter which category new students fit into, there will be others who share their ideas. Attending class regularly cultivates friendships with people who have similar academic interests, and campus organizations can be good places to meet people who have similar goals and lifestyle choices. In general, if new students pursue their own interests, through academic and social groups, they are likely to find other students with whom to develop relationships. What really matters at ECU, no matter the sexual orientation or goal of dating, are self-confidence and awareness, manners, conversation, personality, and a genuine smile.
