3 College Junior

Parking: Only 1100 on campus students - no trouble parking

4 College Sophomore

Parking: Earlham's parking is very easy to handle and quite convenient for students. There are parking lots right outside of every dorm and classroom building, and since not everyone at this already small school has a car, parking spots are abundant.

3 College Freshman

Parking: Seems good, but I don't have a car so I'm not really sure.

4 College Sophomore

Parking: The permit is super cheap and really easy to get but its almost not necessary because they don't really enforce the parking regulations. You can bring a car if you are a freshman. Some people have cars but allot of people don't. You can always find a spot to park

3 College Sophomore

Parking: Watch Out for Tickets! I personally have had no problems with parking, as long as you a). get a parking sticker, and b.) park in overnight parking.

Earlham's campus is a pretty minute spot on the map. You might be thinking that this probably means everything's really close together (which it is), and therefore, students wouldn't think twice about walking over to their friend's dorm, popping into the library, and then running to class. While nothing on campus is more than a stone's throw away, Earlham students become quickly spoiled, and their perception of distance gets a bit warped. What might seem to an average American to be 50 feet might seem more like a 5K to your Earlham student looking for a place to park. Keep in mind, there will always be someplace to park. You might, however, have to readjust your expectations and remember that a short walk won't kill you. Your odds of finding a spot in the row of spaces closest to your destination will also depend on where you're headed. But that's life, and, you can always park your bike anywhere.

All students are allowed to bring cars, and permits are $40 a semester. Parking is never a problem in Richmond, and driving is a quick way to get around. You don't need a car to get around campus, and during the day, biking around town is really convenient. Having a car is nice and essential for trips to Indy, Dayton, or Oxford for dining and clubbing on weekends, but borrowing from a friend or traveling in packs is more fun and usually not a problem.
