Overall Experience: Most professors are very helpful if they see you are trying your best.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: If you do not live in Millenium or Race, then you probably have mice or a dirty dorm.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Drexel's new president made many rules and is very stirct on greek life and that has really killed the parties you would expect greek life to have. You can join, it is a good way to make friends, but it is not a big thing. Expensive.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: The option to go to athletic events is there, but a lot of studetns do not partcipate if it is not a big game.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Drexel is different. I love my program and I have grown so much because of the ten week terms and my porfessors. It is more of a career school than your typical college experience.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: We are ranked #4 in the entire country for saftey. I always feel safe here on campus, and I love the Drexel Public Saftey text message alerts we recieve, if/ when anything is wrong.

Overall Experience: Chem 101 has been a challenge for me. I also thin that the head of the spring chem 101 section should retire. He doens't help students gain a better understanding on what they need in order to do well in his course

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The CO-OP program is a huge part of why students choose Drexel, it was a huge reason as to why I chose Drexel. I like that I will be able to test the waters of my profession before I actually graduate college.

Campus Housing: I like living on campus. I live in a hall that has learning communities, so everyone in my building is very driven to their work. You have to apply and be accepted into the learning community so that shows the level of commtment each student in my hall has.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: I'm not really interested in Greek life, but a lot of my friends are involved. Greek life is only about 12% of our school's population.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: I take advantage of our state of the art gym as well has the free student lead work out classes.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There are many ways for studnets to be enaged on campus, that can be through academics as well as thorough extracurriculars. Even though we are a large university, Drexel makes it a point for there to be a good student to teacher ratios, which is very important to me as a students since I graduated from a small private school.

Party Scene: When there are parties its good. Drexel is really strict and doesn't enjoy there students having fun. Every other school is better, if you're coming just for parties don't.

Drug Safety: Drexel is super strict. Greek Life suffers because of that, but still great greek life. If you want alcohol become friends with older guys or girls.

Health & Safety: Very Safe. Best Public safety. Really kind officers. You'll be fine.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Should be top 50 in the USA. Great School, and Great People

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There should be more showing off of the campus and maybe more sport options. Not very big on sports and promoting themselves.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Not the best, but not the worst. Its good enough for college.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Not as fun as other schools. Drexel harsh toward them

5 College Freshman

Athletics: Awesome gym, Great location, Fitness is a priority

Some students complain about the "Drexel Shaft" screwing up their scheduling or billing, or a poor professor. The truth is that students will find red tape headaches and unfortunate instructors at just about every university. As long as students are picky about the professors and classes they enroll in, they can surely guarantee a positive academic experience. The University is filled with incredible professors that are more than willing to impart their professional wisdom. The Drexel Co-op is Drexel's strongest selling point, and many students come here specifically for that program. Some can't wait to graduate and zip through their classes, concentrating more on their co-op, as they feel it gives them more valuable experience. This vocational approach of the student works against the joy of the college learning experience. Some students scoff at the idea of taking electives in other academic concentrations, which they might enjoy or which could make them a more well-rounded person.

The hurry to graduate is mostly because of the fact that co-ops usually require students to stay at Drexel for five years. Students load up on courses when they are in school, try just to pass them, and complete their programs as soon as possible. This does not need to be the case, and the students that realize this earlier on tend to be immensely happier than the aforementioned students. It's unfortunate that this facet of students at Drexel feels this rush, but most of the other students relish their college experience and the various benefits Drexel has to offer. Most students are thrilled they went to Drexel in the end. The co-op is an invaluable experience that puts students ahead in the job race after graduation (it also beats any menial college job).
