Athletics: Drexel's gym is one of the best I have ever been to. It has a wide variety of facilities available to student use at convenient hours of the day. The group exercises are superb and the instructors genuinely care about helping you if you are confused or lost. All of the equipment, including weights and treadmills/ellipticals, are almost always available when you need them. I usually never have a problem finding a machine. As for the athletic life, not having a football team definitely makes us look like we don't have an athletic program, but that is far from true. We have a great basketball team that always packs in a full house at every home game. We also have a superb rowing and swim team that perform very well all year. I feel like our athletic program, although lacking some of the common sports, definitely ranks among some of the best.

Overall Experience: Drexel has one of the best co-op programs in the country. Throughout my time here I am gaining 18 months of professional, full time work experience which will help set me ahead of students graduating around the same time as me from other 4 year colleges. Through these experiences, I am able to find out what I like and what specific career path I want to pursue. The reason I didn't rate 5 stars is because of the cost. I pay almost $60,000 per year and I do not feel like I get all my money's worth. I live in on campus facilities and they are satisfactorily maintained. I do not feel like there are many quality activities that make my $790 university fee worthwhile. I love this school, but I just feel I should be getting a little bit more for the money I am paying.

Health & Safety: Safety on campus is pretty good, it is only once you reach the edges of campus that you begin to feel unsafe. The Powelton area has a relatively high crime rate, but if you are traveling in a group you should be safe.

Overall Experience: Drexel is definitely a top school in the country for career prospects. The co-op program and available research projects make you look very valuable as a potential employee and you gain applicable experience for the real world after college.

Overall Experience: Drexel is a very vibrant school with lots of very active students. People can always be seen playing sports or studying or just enjoying the campus. The proximity to center city is fantastic and public transportation works very well. It's a very good school as long as you can handle the difficulty of the classes.

Campus Housing: The dorms were obscenely overpriced. It is ridiculous that the most expensive housing option is forced upon the students for their first year. The rooms are cramped and the facilities are very poorly maintained.

Greek Life: Greek life is an essential part of campus life at Drexel. It connects you to a huge network of resources from friends, to alumni, and even employers. There is huge participation from the greek community in many charities and fundraising opportunities around campus.

Athletics: School spirit for varsity sports is somewhat lacking. However, involvement and spirit for intramurals is huge. There's a huge variety of sports to play and all of the leagues are very inviting and open to new members.

Overall Experience: Drexel is unique because of its co-op program. It is designed to give students meaningful experience in the work place and their field of study. It is extremely beneficial when searching for a job because many other graduating students will have no experience in a work environment.

Party Scene: The party scene on campus is pretty dull, a lot of people go off campus and to different schools.

Greek Life: Greek life isn't that prominent on campus, they don't have any real impact on the social or party scene.

Overall Experience: It's an amazing experience to go to school in the city. Drexel provides many opportunities for you to explore not only Philadelphia, but the world. One of the best features to Drexel is Co-ops. The fact that you actually get a job in your field. I love that I get to figure out exactly what I want to do with my career before I am 100 percent committed to it. Our motto is to be different, which is the best thing you could ever be.

Some students complain about the "Drexel Shaft" screwing up their scheduling or billing, or a poor professor. The truth is that students will find red tape headaches and unfortunate instructors at just about every university. As long as students are picky about the professors and classes they enroll in, they can surely guarantee a positive academic experience. The University is filled with incredible professors that are more than willing to impart their professional wisdom. The Drexel Co-op is Drexel's strongest selling point, and many students come here specifically for that program. Some can't wait to graduate and zip through their classes, concentrating more on their co-op, as they feel it gives them more valuable experience. This vocational approach of the student works against the joy of the college learning experience. Some students scoff at the idea of taking electives in other academic concentrations, which they might enjoy or which could make them a more well-rounded person.

The hurry to graduate is mostly because of the fact that co-ops usually require students to stay at Drexel for five years. Students load up on courses when they are in school, try just to pass them, and complete their programs as soon as possible. This does not need to be the case, and the students that realize this earlier on tend to be immensely happier than the aforementioned students. It's unfortunate that this facet of students at Drexel feels this rush, but most of the other students relish their college experience and the various benefits Drexel has to offer. Most students are thrilled they went to Drexel in the end. The co-op is an invaluable experience that puts students ahead in the job race after graduation (it also beats any menial college job).
