Transportation: Public transit is limitless. I've taken all of the options and get where I need to go. I also had my car which was great for adventures to the beach!

Campus Housing: The housing varies where you are. Some places are gross and cheap and great for people who wanna host parties. Others are brand new but come with a price tag. Most are in great location but if not, there's always public transit.

Weather: We experience all of the seasons so depends on what you like. I enjoy seeing the seasons and the fun events in the city

Guys & Girls: I enjoy all the people I have met. Social scenes at Drexel are small but it just means you get to see the same faces and be comfortable around your friends. The guys are gentleman and never felt concerned for my safety when going out with them. They also know how to have fun and be serious.

Off-Campus Housing: Its hard to find something well priced and safe in West Philly. If you're looking to live close to campus expect to pay around 750-900. The further away, the cheaper but also the closer you get to the projects and Spring Garden..

Party Scene: Its Philadelphia, there is ALWAYS something to do!

Greek Life: As a greek member I enjoy the opportunities it has given me. I have discovered more of who I am and what I am capable of. I enjoy the community service, social events, and the sporting activities. I have made life long friendships and have been able to succeed at my school with the help of my greek members. We are a support system and enjoy working together. Greek life is a small percentage of our school and people not in it may not seem to be missing much because we live in the city and there is so much for people to do, but they miss out on some unique opportunities that they would never know about.

Drug Safety: I became aware of what drugs can do to me and what their consequences are if I were to take part. We live in a large city where the students have access to many different substances so keeping us safe can be presented has as difficult. Its apart of college to try new things and experiment with different experiences. People can consumed into peer pressure but Drexel also has a lot of smart students who want to do well and prosper and that that is the first thing they consider before putting themselves in harm or in a bad situation

Technology: Good computer access and if you have any problems the IT guys are always there to help.

Party Scene: Parties are not great. It's all guys and a few sloppy girls, if that's what you are into. The Philly life is great and there's an abundance of public transportation.

Academics: There are some good professors that genuinely care about you. However, there are a lot of professors who clearly dislike Drexel and don't care about the class whatsoever. The workload is okay and manageable. The curriculum of my official major (bio) is meant to weed out people hard. The curriculum of the major I was supposed to be in (comp. sci.) hasn't changed in years...

Academics: There's the co-op program that Drexel has. The catches that Drexel never tells their students are, you still pay Drexel while on Co-op and you are not guaranteed a paid job, let alone any job. You are going to fight for class spots because Drexel made a dumb decision of accepting way more people than they can even house. Good luck graduating when you are supposed to.

Guys & Girls: There are cute guys here but most of them are into pretty white girls, just saying. The girls are just plain out stuck up. I saw a poor guy get snapped at just for complimenting a girl's hair.

Overall Experience: The administration is just plain out terrible. I was placed in the wrong major and I have been relentlessly trying to change my major for a year and a half now. They refuse to admit their system security hole and that incompetence I faced when I met with several useless advisers and administrative staff. I lost my scholarship along the way and I had to retract my case or else I get suspended. I wasted my time, money, and future on this corrupted school. This school is ignorantly unaware on how unhappy the student body is.

Overall Experience: I love it. At first I didn't want to go here and the first year was tough but I am so glad I go to Drexel. I've had a lot of great experiences and learned a lot. I have amazing friends and have met some of my heroes through Drexel events and programs.

Drug Safety: It's there, it's easy to get and easy to participate in.

Transportation: You can get anywhere you need to go. Market street is right in the middle of campus so you can get on the subway. There is a shuttle that runs every half hour from Market and 34th to our center city campus which is free for students. Taxis are an option but usually students just take the subway because it's cheaper. The university has a program where you can rent Zip cars as long as you're over 18 which is 3 years younger than most rental cars.

Athletics: We don't have a football team. Our basketball team is apparently pretty great though. I know a lot of people who really like the intramural sports they participate in though. Our gym is excellent and only a few years old.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

Some students complain about the "Drexel Shaft" screwing up their scheduling or billing, or a poor professor. The truth is that students will find red tape headaches and unfortunate instructors at just about every university. As long as students are picky about the professors and classes they enroll in, they can surely guarantee a positive academic experience. The University is filled with incredible professors that are more than willing to impart their professional wisdom. The Drexel Co-op is Drexel's strongest selling point, and many students come here specifically for that program. Some can't wait to graduate and zip through their classes, concentrating more on their co-op, as they feel it gives them more valuable experience. This vocational approach of the student works against the joy of the college learning experience. Some students scoff at the idea of taking electives in other academic concentrations, which they might enjoy or which could make them a more well-rounded person.

The hurry to graduate is mostly because of the fact that co-ops usually require students to stay at Drexel for five years. Students load up on courses when they are in school, try just to pass them, and complete their programs as soon as possible. This does not need to be the case, and the students that realize this earlier on tend to be immensely happier than the aforementioned students. It's unfortunate that this facet of students at Drexel feels this rush, but most of the other students relish their college experience and the various benefits Drexel has to offer. Most students are thrilled they went to Drexel in the end. The co-op is an invaluable experience that puts students ahead in the job race after graduation (it also beats any menial college job).
