Drug Safety: I have not been pressured by my room mates or classmates to partake of banned substances. Nor do I have time or finances to get hammered. Some of the guys get sloppy drunk and that's not cool.

Diversity: The Asian influence is quite noticeable on campus. It is quite cosmopolitan.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: All different types of people.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: Nice amenities and close to restaurants and bars.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I don't really socialize with them.

3 College Junior

Technology: Wireless has gotten better, but I mostly use my own computer.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: It is safe and convenient just expensive.

3 College Junior

Majors: Getting into the program involved having a good GPA.

2 College Junior

Majors: Biology program is unorganized with a huge homework work load with insufficient amount of time to complete it.

3 College Junior

Weather: Weather is up and down - looking forward to summer.

5 College Junior

Health & Safety: I feel very safe on campus

3 College Junior

Administration: Parking is the most strict and difficult.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: I wouldn't say there was a huge drug scene; however, a lot of drinking goes on. Peer pressure is evident more so in the frat and sorority life.

Athletics: Ahletics are an important part of Drexel and there is a lot of a school spirit. The gym is nicely maintained and most students use the facilities.

Local Area: More restaurants are located on University of Pennsylvania's campus, which is very close by, but is a little far for Drexel students. The area is fairly safe because there are security all over the two neighboring campuses.

Greek Life: There are many people involved in the Greek life at my school, but also many people who aren't involved. There isn't that much pressure to join a sorority or fraternity, but there are many chapter houses surrounding campus.

3 College Sophomore

Technology: There are some computers available for students that are scattered all over campus. Most of the computers can be found in the library, but that's about it. Printing on campus isn't free as I expected it to be The network access on campus is also spotty and unreliable in certain classrooms

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: There's a lot of partying and drinking, but it's just like any other college. Parties normally get busted within 2 hours.

Local Area: Every street is different and since its a city it's very fast-paved. There are so many shopping and eating options.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: There are a lot of goodlooking people in Greek life, but I feel like many of them act like idiots.

Health & Safety: I feel really safe on campus since there are always public safety officers around, if not other students.

Technology: There are many computer labs in dorms, different buildings and the library. They have a lot of macs and you can borrow MacBooks at the library, so there's a lot of available resources.

Greek Life: Although I'm in Greek life, it's not my biggest thing. It's typical. There are many shallow, cliquey and superficial people. It's really big on campus though, and gets really competitive during Greek Week. There's an entire street dedicated to Greek housing.

Scholarships: Drexel is unfair and money hungry. It sucks up money from students and barely gives back. Their method is giving a lot of financial aid to freshmen and handing them many work studies, then after the first year they take it all away and make the process so strict that you barely get any. That's how they get you, so you need to rely in outside scholarships too.

Overall Experience: It's good. I like the people I've met, the classes I've taken and the fact that I get to live in a completely different fast-paced environment.

Some students complain about the "Drexel Shaft" screwing up their scheduling or billing, or a poor professor. The truth is that students will find red tape headaches and unfortunate instructors at just about every university. As long as students are picky about the professors and classes they enroll in, they can surely guarantee a positive academic experience. The University is filled with incredible professors that are more than willing to impart their professional wisdom. The Drexel Co-op is Drexel's strongest selling point, and many students come here specifically for that program. Some can't wait to graduate and zip through their classes, concentrating more on their co-op, as they feel it gives them more valuable experience. This vocational approach of the student works against the joy of the college learning experience. Some students scoff at the idea of taking electives in other academic concentrations, which they might enjoy or which could make them a more well-rounded person.

The hurry to graduate is mostly because of the fact that co-ops usually require students to stay at Drexel for five years. Students load up on courses when they are in school, try just to pass them, and complete their programs as soon as possible. This does not need to be the case, and the students that realize this earlier on tend to be immensely happier than the aforementioned students. It's unfortunate that this facet of students at Drexel feels this rush, but most of the other students relish their college experience and the various benefits Drexel has to offer. Most students are thrilled they went to Drexel in the end. The co-op is an invaluable experience that puts students ahead in the job race after graduation (it also beats any menial college job).
