Academics: The professors are great and knowledgeable on course content, the curriculum is great and one the easiet thing to do is the registration process because all freshmen get the help of an academic advisor with the registration process, workload, quizzes, assignments are too many but then thats why we go to school so i am not complaing

Athletics: most students are pretty much involved in sports, generally team performance is good but not all the teams are at per as others are better off winning most of their games, the fun support is the best team spirit show oneness like that of one family. Facilities are state of the art

Off-Campus Housing: off campus housing is great experience because it give you much responsibility, generally its easy to find rental houses but at times the landlords are a bit harsh and too demanding on house rents. most rental houses are a bit far from school but still it is a walking distance. cons is that the library is not near neither is the recreational facility. Parking is pretty much good with lots of available parking lots. I would definitely need financial support in terms of tuition fees. I do live off campus myself

Campus Housing: I like the dorm rooms most especially because they are very spacious. i like the fact that we are not crowded two per room. I love the level of privacy and security accorded to the students because to access the buildings you have to swipe your student card or if you brought visitors you have to write their names down which i believe is great. I love the meal plans a wide variety of food to eat and you actually eat whatever you want meal time ranges is also superb. The dorm proximty to my class is near so i dont get late for my classes

Off-Campus Housing: I live at home. I don't know much about the on-campus or off-campus housing.

2 College Junior

Scholarships: They don't seem to help much it is very difficult to pay for such an expensive school.

5 College Junior

Academics: I love my major. It's a lot of work but I couldn't see myself doing anything else.

4 College Junior

Athletics: I love going to games and supporting my school. It is a nice feeling to see everyone come together against another school.

Off-Campus Dining: Because our school is in the center of the city, there are a wide range of off campus dining. lately, the school has taken it upon itself to open new local places for students to eat. It is very convenient to have this variety at such proximity. Some offer student discount.

Academics: This is a great school that offers a large variety of programs. the list is endless and permits them to have a wide number of students. Professors are great and always available to help in person, by email and by phone. The workload is a bit much because of the trimester system. Things that regular schools learn over the course of a semester, we learn over a trimester.

Campus Housing: i have not lived on campus, I commute therefore I wouldn't be able to comment on this subject but many of my friends love being minutes away from classes and being able to wake up at anytime.

Majors: Part of the best things about Drexel are the Co-op which are REQUIRED internships before graduation. I've had 2 internships with two great companies and I am currently hired as a part time at my previous one. This is great because by the time I graduate, I would have a load of experience from the real world which will facilitate my job search. It is not hard to find these jobs because the school has made it possible by creating a website where companies post positions and based on many criteria, they pick their best candidates.

Majors: It is difficult to get into my major. Many females do not pick engineering as their major. Women are down-viewed by society. We are thought of as incapable of accomplishing what men can. But to be honest, as long as you have a great academic standard, you have chances of getting into the program regardless of your gender.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I am not very interested in Greek Life but I can affirm that they do great things, such as community service and that inspires other students to take part in making the community better.

Campus Housing: The dorm I stay in is like a miniature apartment. I have my own bathroom, stove, couch, kitchen, but not washer and dryer. It is spacious for one person. The dorm I live in is quite some ways from campus, but there is a free shuttle that picks me up and other students. The cost for this dorm is high but that's obvious because it is great. Housing process was easy. I got the dorm I wanted.

Academics: My major is mathematics and it's fine. Drexel has rigorous courses for math majors. Basically, I will be taking a lot of math courses. The workload so far has been normal though. The classes are quite speedy. We are cramming everything in ten weeks. The faculty is awesome. They are nice and they care but they do not mess around. The internships are abundant for my major.

Off-Campus Dining: Off campus dining is great. There are many places for you to go and there is variety. It can be a little far walking to these places, but not that far or bad. The cost is regular. It is neither expensive or cheap. The best place for me is the Chipotle on Walnut Street.

Administration: Drexel University is only strict about things that matter like safety, academics, and student life. There is absolutely no drinking or drugs in the dorm. People smoke outside from time to time and that is fine. Visitation is easy. Anybody can visit for as long as they like anytime.

2 College Sophomore

Party Scene: Drexel, in my opinion, really is not a party school. Most students are in the library. We are close to the University of Penn which is said to be one of the top party schools, so maybe some students go to those parties. I don't know.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I am not really sure how the Greek life works because I am not really interested in it. They live in their own houses a little ways from the school and from the other dorms. You really cannot even tell you is pledging Greek.

5 College Sophomore

Local Area: City life is the best. There is always something to do here whether its on campus or not. There are many places to shop and eat. Plus, you get a variety of everything. There is something here for everybody.

Scholarships: Drexel has scholarships, but its sometimes hard to get them. There is a rigorous amount of work and paperwork you have to fill out to prove you need financial aid. Drexel is expensive and I didnt receive all of my aid.

Health & Safety: Safety on campus, especially the dorms, is taken seriously. You always have to show your school i.d. to get into certain buildings. The only way to unlock your dorm hall is with your student i.d. And there is a guard at the desk 24/7, who also has to see your school i.d.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

Some students complain about the "Drexel Shaft" screwing up their scheduling or billing, or a poor professor. The truth is that students will find red tape headaches and unfortunate instructors at just about every university. As long as students are picky about the professors and classes they enroll in, they can surely guarantee a positive academic experience. The University is filled with incredible professors that are more than willing to impart their professional wisdom. The Drexel Co-op is Drexel's strongest selling point, and many students come here specifically for that program. Some can't wait to graduate and zip through their classes, concentrating more on their co-op, as they feel it gives them more valuable experience. This vocational approach of the student works against the joy of the college learning experience. Some students scoff at the idea of taking electives in other academic concentrations, which they might enjoy or which could make them a more well-rounded person.

The hurry to graduate is mostly because of the fact that co-ops usually require students to stay at Drexel for five years. Students load up on courses when they are in school, try just to pass them, and complete their programs as soon as possible. This does not need to be the case, and the students that realize this earlier on tend to be immensely happier than the aforementioned students. It's unfortunate that this facet of students at Drexel feels this rush, but most of the other students relish their college experience and the various benefits Drexel has to offer. Most students are thrilled they went to Drexel in the end. The co-op is an invaluable experience that puts students ahead in the job race after graduation (it also beats any menial college job).
