3 College Sophomore

Majors: Found out really late in the year about being accepted.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Many people end up dating people from another school.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: There is consistently something wrong every year with the way the set up your financial aid, but after nagging them they get it straightened out.

4 College Student

Diversity: There's basically every minority here, and there are plenty of clubs dedicated to cultures that you can join to meet with people of your minority

Off-Campus Dining: A lot of food trucks to choose from, generally it's not worth paying for food if you've got the dining plans, it's a waste of money.

Greek Life: It's not a huge part on campus, not too many sororities to pick from in comparison to some other universities.

Majors: I'm a psychology major in psych 111, although I didn't score high enough on my IB exam to gain college credit I find that my psychology class especially moves at an extremely slow and boring pace. I feel like IB prepared me to be ahead of the game, and I already know a lot of research etc.. that we are nowhere near discussing in class. In terms of research opportunities there's lots to do, lots of different professors to choose from, so in that aspect it balances out a little.

Majors: Co-op is pretty good, I joined the 5 year program. You learn a lot about networking and applying your major in the real world, it prepares you for a real job.

Local Area: Philadelphia is the best, it's 20 minutes away from Jersey, about an hour and a half from New York City. Central city has some nice places that you can go shopping at. There are lots of food trucks, lots of restaurants to choose from. University city especially is very diverse and there's usually a lot going on over the weekends. Philadelphia is the best for concerts as well, plenty of bands and artists come here.

4 College Student

Scholarships: Drexel is very generous with scholarships, for the most part a lot of students receive some.

2 College Student

Off-Campus Housing: It's more expensive than on-campus housing and definitely not worth the value

4 College Student

Administration: They respect the drinking norms even if it's underage, they don't bust you for it, they do however take drugs very seriously and students get expelled on the spots if caught with any drugs. They're very strict about bringing alcohol and drugs into dorms as well, it is strictly disallowed.

Campus Housing: I stay in towers, and the social atmosphere is great, you meet a lot of people on your floor and in your building. The freshman dorms are all around the same general area so it's convinient to get around. Receiving mails in the dorms is a huge issue, there are specific hours that you can go to claim your packages, RDC (residential desk coordinators) aren't very helpful if you haven't received a package. I recently ordered a clicker for one of my classes which was delivered Friday and I am yet to receive it (I don't even have confirmation that it arrived), when I asked an RDC about it, she said I'll have to wait until she arranges small packages and places them into the mailboxes. It's been 5 days, and when I asked her again she said and I quote "it'll happen when it does", I asked if I could be notified, and she said no.

Health & Safety: There are a lot of campus security guards around campus. As for health, the wait at the health centre is the absolute worst, doesn't move for hours sometimes, it's a terrible system.

3 College Student

Athletics: I joined club sports, and varsity athletics submitted their schedule after club sports did. However, priority goes to varsity sports which causes an inconvenience on club sports athletes and our schedules.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Yes i got a scholarship but it was not an easy experience, and i still need more funding for my tuition if others can get full tuition fees so can i. I just dont know how. i hope somebody reads this and helps. Thank you.

Off-Campus Dining: Mostly i do cook for myself but from my friend view the cost is affordable in terms of convenience they are everywhere mostly there are no student discounts some do have some dont and i can generally say there are variety of places a student can dine in off campus

Greek Life: I dont know anything about greek life in school

Majors: I am a business student majoring in accounting and i love my course and its because i love calculations and am pretty much good at it. The workload is high but i cant complain because i enjoy studying facilities for my course are available both in the library and on online facilities. The job prospects are brighter because of the coop program offered to business students that enable the to experience the global field and gives them the opportunity to network for future job placement

Academics: The professors are great and knowledgeable on course content, the curriculum is great and one the easiet thing to do is the registration process because all freshmen get the help of an academic advisor with the registration process, workload, quizzes, assignments are too many but then thats why we go to school so i am not complaing

Athletics: most students are pretty much involved in sports, generally team performance is good but not all the teams are at per as others are better off winning most of their games, the fun support is the best team spirit show oneness like that of one family. Facilities are state of the art

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: off campus housing is great experience because it give you much responsibility, generally its easy to find rental houses but at times the landlords are a bit harsh and too demanding on house rents. most rental houses are a bit far from school but still it is a walking distance. cons is that the library is not near neither is the recreational facility. Parking is pretty much good with lots of available parking lots. I would definitely need financial support in terms of tuition fees. I do live off campus myself

5 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I like the dorm rooms most especially because they are very spacious. i like the fact that we are not crowded two per room. I love the level of privacy and security accorded to the students because to access the buildings you have to swipe your student card or if you brought visitors you have to write their names down which i believe is great. I love the meal plans a wide variety of food to eat and you actually eat whatever you want meal time ranges is also superb. The dorm proximty to my class is near so i dont get late for my classes

Some students complain about the "Drexel Shaft" screwing up their scheduling or billing, or a poor professor. The truth is that students will find red tape headaches and unfortunate instructors at just about every university. As long as students are picky about the professors and classes they enroll in, they can surely guarantee a positive academic experience. The University is filled with incredible professors that are more than willing to impart their professional wisdom. The Drexel Co-op is Drexel's strongest selling point, and many students come here specifically for that program. Some can't wait to graduate and zip through their classes, concentrating more on their co-op, as they feel it gives them more valuable experience. This vocational approach of the student works against the joy of the college learning experience. Some students scoff at the idea of taking electives in other academic concentrations, which they might enjoy or which could make them a more well-rounded person.

The hurry to graduate is mostly because of the fact that co-ops usually require students to stay at Drexel for five years. Students load up on courses when they are in school, try just to pass them, and complete their programs as soon as possible. This does not need to be the case, and the students that realize this earlier on tend to be immensely happier than the aforementioned students. It's unfortunate that this facet of students at Drexel feels this rush, but most of the other students relish their college experience and the various benefits Drexel has to offer. Most students are thrilled they went to Drexel in the end. The co-op is an invaluable experience that puts students ahead in the job race after graduation (it also beats any menial college job).
