Overall Experience: I hate the Cells and Genetics course with Kabnick.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The co-op program is nice here I guess. Didn't have the chance to do it yet so we will see

1 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Tower's hall is nasty but the people are cool so it makes it a bit better. Without them my experience their would be terrible

2 College Freshman

Greek Life: Heard about a bunch of hazing going on but I'm not planning on joining so I don't care.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: The gym is amazing but most varsity sports are not looked at. Basketball is probably the most popular sport.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I really love the campus and certain professors but there are some people that ruin the experience for me. The biology course I had to take absolutely sucked.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: There is always a security guard on a bike in sight and there are blue safety posts within an eyeshot basically everywhere

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Good professors that care. I like all of my courses and the class sizes are small for he most part. Recitation is usually about 30 and i've had 100 at most in my biggest lecture.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Co-ops are great and they do a lot to make sure you get a job and working experience.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: You really don't get what you pay for.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: I'm not involved but from what I have seen it's the equivalent to buying your friends.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: The gym is nice, I don't have much experience with the sports though.

Overall Experience: I love Drexel and all that it offers, but the debt I'm taking on to be able to keep going there is making it hard for me to justify still going there. This considered, if I do decide to transfer the money I have already spent will be essentially wasted. I guess my overall review of Drexel would be that it's great but just too expensive.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I really enjoy being here and the city but some classes are a bit challenging. I guess I can't blame the school for that but still.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: My school is exactly what I expected: academically it's not too difficult and the design program is great. The only thing I struggle with is being so far away from home and financial difficulties. I would choose my school again if I could do it all over because I feel like here the program is able to prepare me for my career in the way that I have always dreamt.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: Drexel's Nursing program is a well thought out program. The classes are relevant to current issues in nursing. I love how Drexel's Nursing program has a huge leadership and ethics component to each class. I believe this focus is what separates Drexel from other colleges.

Overall Experience: I really do love my school! Its' great! Since it is located in the city of Philadelphia there is always something fun and exciting to do on and around campus. The teachers and professors are great people and really strive to help students achieve their best. I like the layout of the campus and all the nice athletic facilities that are convenient and high quality.

I would choose this school all over because of the Co-op opportunity which is the fact that my school sets me up with 3 internships while I am an undergrad. This is an amazing working experience and also what make my school so unique!

Overall Experience: Drexel is great because it's filled with opportunities for experience in your field. Co-op is definitely a selling factor but on top of that there is numerous options for work study jobs affiliated with your course of study. It also has an abundance of clubs pertaining to any interest you may have. Teachers are helpful and workload is manageable if you budget your time correctly. It's also in great proximity to the beautiful center city Philadelphia.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The school is great and challenging. It is very fast pace due to trimesters. The coop system is fantastic for experience. The only true downfall is the price. I am in debt up to my ears. That is why I need as much scholarship as possible. I have two other siblings in college and we all are paying for school ourselves.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: During accepted students day at my school, I really liked the Professor from the School of Biomedical Engineering at Drexel University. The campus was really nice, and I could definitely see myself here for the next five years.

2 College Freshman

Overall Experience: When I visited, I saw a different Drexel than what it is now. If you are not a Business, Engineering, or Computer Science Major, your major is treated terribly. The food on campus is awful, and Drexel Dining staff exemplify the bad cafeteria lunch person who could actually make you feel terrible. The students are average, having kind of working hard in high school.

Overall Experience: I love my school! It's just really hard when you are paying tuition on your own and go to a very expensive school. Should have more help with tuition assistance from school.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

Some students complain about the "Drexel Shaft" screwing up their scheduling or billing, or a poor professor. The truth is that students will find red tape headaches and unfortunate instructors at just about every university. As long as students are picky about the professors and classes they enroll in, they can surely guarantee a positive academic experience. The University is filled with incredible professors that are more than willing to impart their professional wisdom. The Drexel Co-op is Drexel's strongest selling point, and many students come here specifically for that program. Some can't wait to graduate and zip through their classes, concentrating more on their co-op, as they feel it gives them more valuable experience. This vocational approach of the student works against the joy of the college learning experience. Some students scoff at the idea of taking electives in other academic concentrations, which they might enjoy or which could make them a more well-rounded person.

The hurry to graduate is mostly because of the fact that co-ops usually require students to stay at Drexel for five years. Students load up on courses when they are in school, try just to pass them, and complete their programs as soon as possible. This does not need to be the case, and the students that realize this earlier on tend to be immensely happier than the aforementioned students. It's unfortunate that this facet of students at Drexel feels this rush, but most of the other students relish their college experience and the various benefits Drexel has to offer. Most students are thrilled they went to Drexel in the end. The co-op is an invaluable experience that puts students ahead in the job race after graduation (it also beats any menial college job).
