4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: It's a small school. It's easy to keep safe.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There is a wide variety of courses.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I know I will have a job after I get out of school.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: You are very close to your classes.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: The Greek thing is kind of a dying fad.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: It's a very friendly school.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I have never felt unsafe on campus and have not heard of any incidents.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I enjoy the classes and professors are excellent. Sometimes I struggle to understand material, but every professor is willing to help. Class sizes are small, which makes the experience even better.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I enjoy living in the dorms, and they matched me with a great roommate.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: I love being a member of Cross Country and track. The coaches are fantastic, and Doane has been National Champions consistently. The coaches have been there for a long time, and the facilities are fantastic.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Doane is a great school with incredible supports. The only complaints I have are that the food is not good at all and they do not accommodate vegetarian needs much, and that there is no WiFi access in the dorm rooms. One benefit, however, is that the library is open 24/7, so there is always technology access, and you don't need to bring a computer.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Campus is poorly lit at night making it uneasy to walk at night. Campus Safety is available but I'm unsure of how helpful they would be in an emergency.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Class sizes are small which is nice, but the professors don't care much about student success. Most are coaches of some kind so have bigger things on their mind.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I've heard administration from schools around that Doane grads go straight to the top of all the resumes.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: The quads are great on paper but all of them are outdated and need to be renovated. The process to move off campus is ridiculous. The school is bascically forcing people to live on campus which isn't work the money. The AC and heat are school controlled so the heat will be on when it's 70 in February.

4 College Junior

Greek Life: The Greeks throw great parties and offer many opportunities for students to meet and hangout without parties. Unfortunately only a couple groups appear to thrive in this environment.

4 College Junior

Athletics: Most of campus participates in athletics. There are very few students who attend home games. It's unfortunate based on how well our teams do and how hard theyou practice.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: The school is wonderful with knowledgeable professors, but I feel the administration is very focused on themselves instead of helping the students. Tuition is continually increasing without any show for it. The school has many plans but none have been put into action.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I think the safety and security on campus is pretty good. There isn't much crime and they are always out and about making sure nothing suspicious is going on around campus.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The class sizes are nice because all of my professors know each student's name. The variety of courses offered are pretty nice as well.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: It's good but I think the recruiting for employers could be better.

5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I love living on campus. The only thing that sucks is the cost.

4 College Freshman

Greek Life: Greek life is big here at Doane. Our Fraternities and Sororities get along well with everyone on campus. Housing is a nice piece of Greek life because we have the option to live with other people in our Greek groups.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: The facilities here are great and about to get even better. New construction will take place soon. Our sports team are relatively good and there are lots of fans that come out to support us.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: My experience at Doane has been great! It's a great school with great people and I'm glad that I chose to come here.

Frees Hall Coed Dorm Frees Hall Coed Dorm Frees Hall was completed in 1931 as a women's residence and was built to accommodate 185 students. A 450-seat dining hall was included in the basement, where students ate their meals (until the campus center was built). Frees is now a coed residence, and it underwent major renovations during the summer of 2009.
