3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I am super excited to go to college. there are so many new people to meet and fun activities to do.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The teachers are more then willing to help you excide. You just have to ask for help when it's needed.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The local weather is great and it's in a beautiful area. The town is way too conservative which makes it boring. I guess that helps you concentrate on school better though. There are some really great professors and some really bad ones. I do enjoy the small classes and how quite the campus is.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I love the school. The weather is beautiful and the class sizes are small. The maximum class sizes are 30 if everyone shows up. I love the teachers and you get that one on one feeling. The community is very conservative so there are no sororities or fraternities. The campus is also small but not too small so its still a comfortable feeling.

Overall Experience: Dixie State University has its perks and drawbacks like all other colleges. It is a more conservative town but the academics are great. Many professors are understanding and make personal connections with students. The mountain ranges surrounding the college town is easily one of the best things about DSU.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: The professors I have had have been great at their jobs. They are also great teachers and they genuinely want their students to learn the material. There are very good people there and it is easy to find someone to talk to and make friends. The campus is clean. Have a positive attitude, take charge of your education and you'll do just fine:)

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I loved Dixie State! First of all the location is beautiful and offers many outdoor activities. Its extremely affordable compared to most colleges. The thing I enjoyed most was the small class sizes that brought the ability for genuine one to one interaction with my professors. I found most of my professors to deeply care about me and my education. They made my first year of college the best it could be.

Campus Resources: no one is ever in there office ever!! the campus is nice for the area but doesn't compare to big name schools or even nice parks at all.

Overall Experience: its just BYU junior, no parties, no social things, they repeat the same school event every semester so no one goes, no programs so you have to transfer, great weather for Utah but not compared to California

Online Courses: online courses suck i feel like everyone does them though the campus is dead. they say 9,000 attend, the running joke is if you have gone here in the last 20 years they are still counting you.

2 College Freshman

Student Body: no schools spirit at all!!! my friends and i are the only ones who tailgate football games as in the only car. the students are very sheltered Mormons. I once said "let them eat cake" in history and everyone looked at me like i was stupid no one knew who the Marie Antoinette was. no one parties except a small few who don't even attended school and are in there late late 20's like 28-34

Academic Flexibility: Very limited course offerings. Little to no night classes-- a nightmare for nontraditional students.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Expect a community college experience under a university name. If you choose to go, take advantage of the incredible climate.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: There are some outstanding professors at this school. Mostly retirees who teach a few classes in their spare time. Overall, expect the academic feel of a community or two-year college.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: There is a stigma attached to this school as being a "party school." Expect surprised looks when you explain an educational background from Dixie in a professional environment.

Online Courses: Very few online courses offered through this school.

Student Body: The easiness of the coursework and the small class sizes attract an academically "average" demographic. Expect little diversity from St. George, Utah.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is very fairly priced for in-state students. Out-of-state students would be apt to find an alternative school.

Career Services: Only students with an initiative mindset will benefit from career fairs and/or resources.

Academic Experience: General education teachers are often adjuncts lacking any relevant experience in their field. However, upper division classes have more specialized professors. For any art major, the art teachers go above and beyond to help students refine their skills. Expect a lot of one-on-one time.
