2 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Very limited course offerings. Little to no night classes-- a nightmare for nontraditional students.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Expect a community college experience under a university name. If you choose to go, take advantage of the incredible climate.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: There are some outstanding professors at this school. Mostly retirees who teach a few classes in their spare time. Overall, expect the academic feel of a community or two-year college.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: There is a stigma attached to this school as being a "party school." Expect surprised looks when you explain an educational background from Dixie in a professional environment.

2 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Very few online courses offered through this school.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: The easiness of the coursework and the small class sizes attract an academically "average" demographic. Expect little diversity from St. George, Utah.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is very fairly priced for in-state students. Out-of-state students would be apt to find an alternative school.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: Only students with an initiative mindset will benefit from career fairs and/or resources.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: General education teachers are often adjuncts lacking any relevant experience in their field. However, upper division classes have more specialized professors. For any art major, the art teachers go above and beyond to help students refine their skills. Expect a lot of one-on-one time.

Academic Experience: General Education teachers are usually adjuncts lacking experience.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Resources are available to students only with the proactive mindset to take advantage of them.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The student gym is super small and old, but on the other hand, the library is very new!

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I really wish they would take away the online classes and put us students in class rooms so we can learn.

5 College Freshman

Campus Resources: I really enjoy the campus lifestyle the people are friendly and helpful with helping you out around the school. I appreciate the kindness and courtesy of the administration. The student advisers are understanding with the situations us college students deal with on a daily basics. The campus offers a huge amounts of help to the students that struggle with classes. The campus even offers a fun environment for new and previous students. Not to mention, plenty of activities for students. Overall, I would rate Dixie State University the best campus.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is greatly priced! I am an out of state student and there are great scholarship opportunities. The school is really good at processing financial aide and is really great about getting back to you and emailing you as soon as it has been processed. The education that I am currently receiving is worth every dime that I have paid to go to school here. If you have the opportunity to participate in student supported services I would highly recommend it because you are provided ample opportunities that other students would not have.

College Freshman

Career Services: I don't know much about the post grad programs but i do know that there is a career center here on campus and there is an alumni base! There are also job fairs at least 3 times a year.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: The Elementary Education Program is excellent and they are continuing to make it even better. They are teaching me things that not only pertain to my major but skills and benefits that will last me a lifetime.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: They are currently expanding the majors and programs at our school, but what we have right now is a pretty good variety. Registration is easy, we can do it online. The professors that I have had have been great people.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: I love the atmosphere and the variety of things that we have to do!

4 College Junior

Student Body: Most people here are very outgoing, nice, and religious. There is some diversity between race (but mainly white) and sex.

3 College Junior

Career Services: I am not aware of some of these because I'm not alumni yet. I do know they have a lot of alumni activities.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Everything is great! Professors in some areas could be better.

College Junior

Academic Experience: I have only worked on my generals, not my intended major.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: Everything is updated including technology, classrooms, and study areas. It's a great place to learn!

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The people and staff are very friendly and are helpful when needing to find something.
