From my experiences at Dixie State, I have learned a couple of things. St. George is a small town so find good friends that like to have fun. GET INVOLVED. Dixie has many clubs and weekly activities to find new friends and kindle your school spirit. Take advantage of the Holland building with its private/group study spaces and comfy seats. Go to the sporting events and cheer for the team! The LDS Institute also has many activities and is a great place to learn about the LDS faith.

I am a piano major at Dixie and the program is great! We are working towards an all-Steinway piano school and currently have some nice Bostons in the practice rooms. The professor over the piano program is great to work with. With this degree, you must be willing to set aside 2-4+ hours (depending on what year you are) a day practicing piano. The other piano majors are super friendly and you'll feel like you're a part of the family.

My school schedule was great! I had many advanced courses that were spread throughout the week which helped with the stress of homework and tests. My classes were flexible with my schedule. I have yet to try transferring credits, although I talked to an academic advisor at the school I am planning on transferring too and she stated that most of my credits will transfer excluding a few.
