4 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: Dillard's student union was newly renovated and there is plenty of green space.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Kearny Dining Services can be a disappointment at times.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: DIllard is a tight-knit school. We treat each other like family and the professors are very involved with your academics.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: There are people of different races but they comprise a negligible percentage of the student body.

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: There aren't any drugs on campus in Dillard University

Campus Quality: Dillard's campus has the potential to be really fun. We have a student union that has a game room. We have a movie theater, and a bowling alley. But, they are never open. And, only one of the lanes work in the bowling alley. The campus is very dry on the weekends. I think that we should have different activities during the day, and have parties or show movies at night. We have too many resouces that are not being used to its fullest potential.

Party Scene: So, here's the thing. Dillard has a curfew of 2 o clock in the morning on weekends. So, when we take the shuttle to get to the different parties, we have to rely on the bus driver to take us back on time. And if we come back late, we get written up like its our fault. But the thing is, the parties don't even get fun until almost 2 o clock so we miss the best part anyways. So, you might as well not go. This goes back to not having your own transportation. Be independent, guys.

Local Area: I think there are alot of things to do in town, but you would need to have a car because riding the bus doesn't feel too safe. Especially when some man with extremely ashy feet talks to you for the whole ride. I haven't rode the bus since. Meaning that I haven't been off campus too much. So, my advice is to venture out only if you have your own transportation, or pay $1.50 to sit next to Ashmonster with cigarette breath in your face.

Academics: I feel as though the professors have gone through so much when it comes to Dillard, that they are starting to not care as much as they should. Some teachers have really bad attitudes, some are making us teach ourselves, and others are so tired at the end of the day that the lesson doesn't come through clearly. But, there are alot of teachers who love what they do, and you could tell by the way they teach. Workload is average, and the registaration process is gruesome due to Dillard's unorganization.

3 College Freshman

Academics: There aren't many teachers for music majors. Each teacher has too much on their hands, and it makes things very difficult when they have to rely on Dillard's organization skills, which, let me tell you, are very poor. But, there is hope for our music program, especially with the new voice teacher, and our new president.

Guys & Girls: Everyone at Dillard has their own style and what ever you are is ok!Can't say we focus on those little things. Everyone speaks and we are all friendly.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: my aid award is not a problem. the office needs to get their papers in order!!!!!!! The office needs more employees.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: If you want to have fun then there is always something always to get into.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: There is alot of stuff around the school....and other locals food and store aren't far away!

3 College Freshman

Transportation: Our shuttles only take you to the off-campus housing so they are unreliable. There are multiple bus lines right outside of the gate so riding the bus is very convenient and easy along with the always ready cab service.

3 College Freshman

Administration: When it comes to drinking in the on campus dorms when RA's are at the desk you run the risk of getting caught but when it comes to the living doing your dirt in the on campus apartments it's pretty much "out of sight out of mind.' stay discreet and on your smart and you'll be fine.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: Studying more by putting more effort and time into my work

5 College Junior

Scholarships: Know that no school is perfect in the financial aid department. However, with the financial status and struggles in the world funds are not available as much as before. All colleges and universities are having issues with provided financial aid to students. The earlier you apply to FASA and have all the necessary documents in place the better. If you receive a scholarship from the university it is important to maintain the GPA required other wise you lose those funds. Colleges and Universities are being limited to funds, so apply for as many outside scholarship as possible because most of them will require a 3.0 or better GPA to even apply.

5 College Junior

Campus Housing: Housing on campus is good considering the hurricane.

3 College Sophomore

Local Area: this is a good area that the school is in they are surrounded by many mini shopping stores and they have many attractions to go to around the city

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I love my major which is Business Adminstration with a minor in Management. I love all my professors they are very helpful with the things I need help with

2 College Sophomore

Academics: I am still in the process of solving some of my problems with registration and others have their own problems with professors and registration process

4 College Junior

Campus Quality: All the facilities are historical, meaning they were built with foreign architecture and can not be restored on the outside. All the buildings are white and named after historical DU ambassadors.

4 College Junior

Academics: Dillard does not let you slip! There is a program called early alert, that tracks your academic acitivity and you are alerted before midterms if you will be provided a mandatory counseling meeting with your advisors or first year department.

4 College Junior

Transportation: The DU shuttle buses run around the entire campus, including dormitory locations that are not located within the gates of the university every 30 minutes.
