3 College Freshman

Local Area: this is a good area that the school is in they are surrounded by many mini shopping stores and they have many attractions to go to around the city

4 College Freshman

Academics: I love my major which is Business Adminstration with a minor in Management. I love all my professors they are very helpful with the things I need help with

2 College Freshman

Academics: I am still in the process of solving some of my problems with registration and others have their own problems with professors and registration process

4 College Junior

Campus Quality: All the facilities are historical, meaning they were built with foreign architecture and can not be restored on the outside. All the buildings are white and named after historical DU ambassadors.

4 College Junior

Academics: Dillard does not let you slip! There is a program called early alert, that tracks your academic acitivity and you are alerted before midterms if you will be provided a mandatory counseling meeting with your advisors or first year department.

4 College Junior

Transportation: The DU shuttle buses run around the entire campus, including dormitory locations that are not located within the gates of the university every 30 minutes.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: As an off campus student, I can say that it seems as if all the on campus students get most of the scholarships. After a year or two I decided I wanted to move on campus but it was extremely difficult to get the scholarships that on campus students seemed to have no value for.

3 College Junior

Academics: The Social Sciences Department covers criminal justice, psychology, sociology, social works and public health majors. During your first year of school you are assigned to an advisor in you department who will stick with you until graduation, giving you advice on classes, studying abroad, internships, etc. There are department meetings throughout each semester as well as clubs for example the K.B. Clark Psychology Club or the Criminal Justice Club.

1 College Freshman

Campus Food: the cafe people are really nice but its the same think every week nothing really changes...for the price your paying there aren't many options.

1 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: The students of Dillard university sit up on a high pedestal and wear very nice clothes! some black colleges would say we are really bougie ( if they have heard anything about the school). some people are nice but as soon as you say something wrong everyone knows and everyone then dislikes you! boys aren't very cute and they are also very limited.

2 College Freshman

Scholarships: At first it was hard dealing with the financial aid office but after bugging them they started to do their job and help me out, but they mess up everyones money and overcharge people.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: Oh God! There are many students at Dillard that are not from Louisiana. It have people from all over the world here. This includes blacks, whites, and ect.

3 College Freshman

Administration: Police officers enforces all of the rules at all time. If you break any of the rules, you will have to go to the campus court for a hearing. You can be suspended or either expelled.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: Theatre & Art Program Love it, security the campus is safe, and you feel safe there.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: i don't live on campus but i have friends who do, and they have all good comments about living on campus. i would love to live on campus, but can't afford it.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: i always feel safe, there are security everywhere from entering the campus any you see them riding all around the campus, i feel very safe and secure there, i can concentrate on whats important with out any voilance or bulling going on, i love attending Dillard University.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: It is comfortable but expensive. For the price you are paying, I believe the dorms should be better. Some rooms do not have air conditioning and you would have to wait for it to be repaired.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: The workload is a challenge but I work through that. The curriculum changes with each professor.Over all I receive extra help when I persistently seek out for it. I believe Dillard can work more on internship for music performance that is why the grade I gave was a B+.

1 College Freshman

Administration: dillard is highly strict it is a dry campus wither you are over 21 or not no drinking or anything. security is pretty strict on curfew and you will be fined if caught out on curfew

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: with safety ive always felt safe they have light poles if something happens when it is to dark it is easy to get to one. regarding health it is fine but if you dont strap up your taking a risk on your own.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: as far as public transportation it gets you were you need to go and a all day pass is just 3 dollars.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Sports at Dillard University do not carry a lot of fans. Although many people come and show support, it is not as much as it could be.

3 College Freshman

Parking: The parking on campus is not the best but it could always be worse. If you need to be somewhere at a certain time, show up at least 30 mins early to find a spot. You pay permit cost yearly, which are $100.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: Receiving financial aid process can be difficult. If you get the right documents and turn them in on time your transition can run smoothly. Financial aid itself is first come, first serve. I highly suggest calling the offices making sure you are squared away and making regular trips to see your adviser as well as filling out scholarships.

5 College Freshman

Local Area: There are so many things to get into in New Orleans. For instance, we have Burbon Street, Canal Streel. We have voodoo shops and carnivals that come into town. Also, Mardi Gras.
