Off-Campus Dining

{{ error }}
4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: One street away from Denison's main entrance you will find a variety of small bars and restaurants. Moe's BBQ has great food and a full bar upstairs with different entertainment on different nights such as performing bands, trivia nights, karaoke, open mic, and private parties. There is also a couple pubs, Mexican food, ice cream shop, Asian food and a CVS to stock up on necessities and snacks, all on one convenient street. For students that don't have a car on campus, these options are great and walking distance.

Off-Campus Dining: There are not many options when it comes to off- campus food in the area unless you have a car.

Off-Campus Dining: If you have a car then there are a decent number of chains in nearby strip malls and small business options in nearby towns. Granville has all the basic dining options of a college town, which is nice because for the most part it doesn't really cater to students. There is a good pizza place, good coffee shop, good bbq, bland chinese and mexican food and a great frozen custard and soup place. The issue with all of these places is that they are down the hill, about a 10 minute walk.

Off-Campus Dining: If you get tired of the dining halls many other eating options are not far from you. The only downside is having to walk up that big hill, but you get to burn the calories!

Off-Campus Dining: Many small town shops and eateries create a delicious community atmosphere.

Off-campus dining is great, and it is definitely a nice change from the on-campus dining students are used to having. Most of the dining off campus is a short walk from campus in Granville—you don't even need a car to get there! The food at these restaurants in Granville is excellent, and everyone goes down the hill and out to eat at least once a month. Unfortunately, the meal plan you pay for at Denison does not cover any of the dining places off campus. While most of the dining options are right down the hill, there are even more places available if you have a car, especially in Newark, Heath, Easton, or downtown Columbus. A lot of nearby restaurants deliver, so if you do not want to leave your room, places can bring food to you!
