4 College Freshman

Administration: Denison is a school of great academic rigor in classes but still understands that we are teenagers that do not always obey all rules and regulations. Rules are meant to be broken once in a while, as long as we still get our work done and aren't harming anyone, it's not a big deal. Administration is pretty lenient and attendance policies vary from professor to professor

4 College Freshman

Administration: The biggest issue is the medical amnesty policy which isn't very clear and confuses a lot of students. This is really unsafe because some people are too concerned about getting in trouble to call for help

3 College Junior

Administration: Campus is strict with underage drinking. However, they have a policy called "Medical Amnesty" which basically gives you a second chance not to mess up. Drug use is Very strict at Denison as well, but there are not "second chances" for it.

Administration: Security officers do not intervene unless one is blatantly intoxicated

3 College Sophomore

Administration: Denison University is not a very strict school. You will get in trouble if you are caught with drugs or open containers of alcohol if you are underage, but for the most part, the university is pretty easy going about everything else.

Campus is fairly strict, but only on certain activities. Alcohol and marijuana use are the things for which students get the most citations. However, this doesn't mean you can't drink or smoke. You won't get a citation unless you're doing something stupid or dangerous. Security is not out merely to bust students—they are honestly concerned for student safety. Also, you need to keep in mind what time of the year it is. Obviously, doing these things during exam time is extremely risky because of the 24-hour quiet policy, so you and your friends would have to be extremely quiet—it would be wiser just to wait until after exams to go out. The quiet hours are extremely strict and so is the open container law. You cannot just walk around with a red Solo cup or you will get in trouble. If you close your door and keep things relatively quiet, you and your friends can enjoy a drink at just about any time. But just because the campus respects that most Denison students are responsible enough to handle their own liquor consumption doesn't mean that you should test University limits. There are also rules against binge drinking, so no kegs are allowed and neither is beer pong. Students still play drinking games, but if you get caught by security you can get in huge trouble. Also, Denison takes plagiarism very seriously. If you get caught cheating or copying a paper, you could get on academic probation and even fail out of Denison.
