It is an awesome party scene for such a small college. Of course, it doesn't compare to the party scene in major universities but I love that such intelligent groups of people can work hard all week on their academics and party just as hard on the weekends! When you go to the senior apartments on the weekends, there is almost always about 10 different parties going on. The best part is that even though these are frat/sorority parties, everyone is welcomed after 11 pm and if you get bored (which you won't) there are always other parties going on in very close proximity.

Hoping to transfer – I honestly have to say the reason a vast majority of students came to Denison was because of the financial aid this school offers. However, almost anyone you ask (literally, almost anyone) says they wish they could or they wish they had transferred. Regardless of their affiliation with greek life, performing programs, sports, clubs, etc, most people would agree that Denison is boring, there is relatively little to do on campus, the lack of course options makes it virtually impossible to create a schedule that you will actually interest you, the parties are awful, the administration is overly controlling, the lack of housing options are annoying, the on-campus food is disgusting, and the lack of school spirit is frustrating. It's sad to say but I absolutely hate Denison...and what I hate more is the fact that everyone around me seems to share the same opinion. If you're a high schooler thinking about applying to DU, DON'T! I guarantee you will regret your decision - and continue to regret it until the day you graduate.

You Learn to Love It – Ill be honest, I partied alot in Highschool and came to Denison one of the more experienced drinkers in my grade and at first I was impressed by how hard Denison students went. This being said, the fraternities were kicked out of their houses in the 90's for getting out of control so parties are forced into senior apartments and 6-man suites on east quad. These parties are primarily dance parties with really loud music and lots of free refreshments. Juniors and Seniors will tire of these repetitive parties and will usually leave for the bars around midnight. There are a couple popular bars in town. I would not recommend bringing fakes to Denison because the bars are incredibly strict, stores are getting stricter, and you can definitely find older people to pick up for you, just make friends!
