5 College Junior

Overall Experience: There seems to be a new college recruiting people every week or so. All you have to really do is watch your email, and the college you want to attend will most likely be visiting.

Academic Experience: My mom is a graduate from DCCC, so I kind of knew what to expect. The workload at DCCC is the same as any other school, I have heard.

Overall Experience: I really like being able to "step out my backdoor" and be at school. The school is small and affordable! Two huge positives for me!!!

Academic Flexibility: There is a little bit of flexibility in my classes and one of my classes was very frustrating because I was loaded wiry homework I had no time to complete the work

Overall Experience: The class sizes are average like a high school class and the class style are very quite and students are focus in the classes. The courses last semester were okay and some of my professors were great but one professor was not so great.

Academic Experience: I am getting a associate degree in arts to transfer and again the facilities that work at the school are so helpful with class you might be struggling in. The workload is okay and you can get internship opportunities

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: It is a great small school but there is not a lot of activities to do at the school. The facility that work there are really helpful when struggling in class.

Overall Experience: My school is not the typical high school I feel like. Although my favorite experiences go along the lines of the pep rally and football games, within the school I do not have many exciting moments. For starters, we have had 3 different principals in the last 4 years. Also, instead of forcing effort to apply to bigger colleges, they urge us to attend community. Our guidance counselor basically guides us down a path of disaster. He told my class that we shouldn't take the SAT more than once and that if we are good at science we should stick with the ACT, as if either of those correlate to us acheiving a better chance to score high on those tests. They even encountered some mistakes when it came to sending students transcripts out last year! They do not stress enough how important it is to keep up grades for college or how to apply to scholarships.

Academic Flexibility: DCCC was the first college I attended, so I had no experience transferring credits.

Overall Experience: Overall, my experience at Davidson County Community College was excellent. I feel like DCCC has definitely prepared me for furthering my education. I was stretched a challenged in each class, and always learned something new. I am thankful that I was able to earn my associates degree from DCCC.

Overall Experience: Since this is a community college, the career services are not as present as the college transfer recruiters, and the transfer-readiness services. DCCC had multiple college fairs where many colleges came to supply information for possible transfer students. Other services include a required 'transfer-readiness' course for all students in the DCCC transfer program.

Online Courses: The majority of my online courses were great! I found it somewhat easier to interact with students in the online classes than in some of my face-to-face courses. There is always some form of group discussions or forums online, where-as in some of my face-to-face classes, none of the students ever spoke a word to each other, much less had an actual conversation about any of the class topics or material.

Student Body: This school is loaded with a diverse student body. There is a range of ethnicity, economic statuses, religions, and political views. Levels of acceptances are ridiculously high, especially in humanities, and sociology courses.
