4 College Junior

Parking: I think it is 50 for the entire year. It's never too hard to find parking.

3 College Freshman

Parking: There are a lot of parking options, but close spots fill up quickly. However, even when parking in Satellite or Baker (the furthest parking lots), the walk to most dorms is no longer than 10-15 minutes.

3 College Freshman

Parking: I don't have a car on campus, so I don't have to deal with parking often. However, I know my friends who do have cars are usually forced to park in the satellite lot or in Baker, both of which are relatively far away from the dorms.

4 Recent Alumnus

Parking: Almost everyone walks to classes since <95% of students live on campus. As a freshman living "up the hill" it is difficult to find parking right by your dorm so you will likely have to park 5 min walk from your dorm. But as an upperclassman living in the senior apartments, you can practically park right outside your door.

3 College Freshman

Parking: The price isn't too bad and we do have plenty of parking. However, convenient locations tend to fill up quickly and when there are basketball home games it definitely becomes a hassle.

Parking at Davidson is not a problem. Students agree that you might not always be able to get your favorite spot, especially when the campus is really bustling during the week, but you can always find one a reasonable distance away. One thing’s for sure: The parking situation is 10 times better at Davidson than at larger universities in the area (UNC, NC State), and those schools don’t even offer parking for their freshmen.

For a school that allows all students to have cars beginning freshman year, Davidson does an impressive job providing more than enough parking. Lots are spread out across campus, assuring that students can park conveniently, regardless of where they live. While spots right outside your door might be hard to come by, they do exist. Also, there is overflow parking in the Satellite lot and Baker Sports Complex lot, so there is always somewhere to leave your car. Regardless of where you park or where you live, you won’t be walking more than 10 minutes back to your destination.
