3 College Junior

Party Scene: I have never been to a party on campus or off, but I see many girls coming back from the clubs at 3 a.m washing off at the sink, then go to chapel the next morning.

Scholarships: I took out a loan because I had to pay the remaining of my balance.. three weeks later the secretary told me I still had $5 thousand to pay. They miss inform you. Nobody knows whats going on, their communication is super weak.

Campus Food: You will end up eating the same thing over anf over again. Paying a lot of money for a very bad quality of food. Hope you have insurance, because there are possibilities of having food poisoning at least once a year.

Campus Housing: Its okay to live on campus because it has its pros: you are well focused on your studies, classes are a walking distance, you meet tons of friends, and you have free laundry service.

The cons to live here is you will expect to have brown water coming out the faucets and showers, floors are never mopped in the restrooms, you do not have your own bathroom, RA are somewhat available, the food you eat is not what you pay for. Get use to your answer being a NO around here, DBU is very stingy with their money. The president lives better than 95% of the students on campus. People are semi racist too if your a minority. You get looked at and spoken upon differently. Others will recieve jobs, minorities on the other hand mostly get off campus jobs. Financial aid here is okay. I payed $29 grand this year, I could say it was somewhat worth it.

Campus Housing: Living in a dorm is decent. The space is good and the bathrooms are always clean. They clean alot and it is pretty quiet. Therefore, making it easy to work and sleep.

Off-Campus Dining: Good, not too far from school.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Directly surrounding campus, there are very few options, but if you are willing to drive a little ways, the options are endless.

Campus Housing: There are a variety of on-campus housing options. There are two types of dorms, some typical dorms, and some suite style. There are also apartments, townhouses, and brownstones as options for housing on campus.

Local Area: Not good. There's never anything to do unless you drive to downtown Dallas, Austin, or most of the students get together and drive to the Choctaw casino in Oklahoma. Nothing close. Except for an outlet mall...or going to see a Texas Rangers game.

Overall Experience: I had some incredible professors last semester! They integrate faith and learning (which is what I pay them to do!) very well, all while keeping open minds. Even with subjects I thought I'd dislike I ended up loving the class because the professor was so passionate and fun.

Overall Experience: It's been tough to find a job on campus right now while I'm still in school, but it seems like after graduation the outlook should be good. Plus, if you want a summer internship/job you'll probably be able to find one. Just don't expect to get paid for all of them. Sorry.

Off-Campus Dining: Maybe this is because I grew up in a small town, but I think there are SO many great places to eat! And it seems like there's a fairly good variety too. My boyfriend and I have yet to run out of new places to go!

Scholarships: The process itself was easy and the people were super helpful and nice, BUT, the payoff from that was minimal. Not enough financial assistance.
