I've enjoyed every semester that I've been here at Cuyamaca College. Not only do they have impressive professors who truely go out of their way to help the students exceed, they also have a large tutoring department which is free. The campus is very beautiful and provides places for study both inside and outside for studying. I keep returning to this school for the extra services like EOPS, the Health and Wellness Center, workshops on a wide variety of subjects. These extra bits and services make each day coming to school more enjoyable.

My major at Cuyamaca College is Mechanical Engineering. I am extermely proud to have this as my declared major at cuyamca because of the type of education system that we have. The unique aspects of my major is that we get the opportunity to learn more than one topic. For example, we must take many physics classes as well as chemistry and math. This is a huge benefit because we are taught more than one topic. Students get to advance in many different subjects and learn multiple different skills with this program. An engineering degree is very overwhelming, we are required to take multiple different subject and many units. Students must to be dedicated and committed to put in many hours of studying. Although any engineering major is a huge workload, many students enjoy it and will benefit from it because the future is very bright. Working hard always pays off, internships and many job opportunities will cross your path.

The academic experience here at Cuyamaca is great, they provide a variety of classes and teachers are extremely helpful. My specific major is Spanish and there were amazing classes that taught me more about my culture that I didn't even know. There aren't a lot of internships or job opportunities that are available for specific major. However professors make classes interesting and they get students to participate a lot.
