3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: not too many places to eat with good quality food close by. You'd have to take a bus rather far to get anywhere wholly decent.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: Go to ginos when the Qcafe food fails you. they have student discounts around the area and there lots of places to eat. Queens is a diverse area so there are lots of restaurants.

2 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Kind of a trip to get there, but you can always have food delivered.

There are several small, mainly kosher restaurants on Main Street—a couple of blocks from Queens College—offering a variety of food choices. Food options on Main Street include ethnic foods like Mexican, Chinese, Japanese, and Israeli food, as well as dairy restaurants which serve mostly sandwiches, pasta, soups, and salads. The downside is that kosher food is expensive, and there are no student discounts. Around the corner from campus in the other direction are a few other regular fast food restaurants, plus a deli. Students note that you need a car to get really good food. Additionally, students looking for fancy sit-down restaurants must travel further away.

Other restaurants off of Main Street include pizza, a fast food chicken restaurant, cafés, and delis. A number of restaurants deliver, which is convenient for students who don't have time to go out to eat. There is also a Baskin-Robbins/Dunkin' Donuts right off of campus, which is a popular place to go for students to grab a bite to eat or hang out.
