4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Well faculty and students all have to take an online course on sexual assault (safety/support services on campus, how to prevent it from happening to yourself/others, etc.), so I'd say I feel pretty safe.

3 Recent Alumnus

Health & Safety: The campus is open to the public, there is no screening of identification to get into the college or any of its buildings

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: there are a lot of emergency/panic stations because we have an open campus and so far i've yet to have a problem personally or seen/hear of another person having issues

The Lehman Health Center is located in room 118 in the T-3 Building, and offers the following services to students: Gardasil vaccines, workshops about relationships, affordable antibiotics, birth control pills, Plan B, immunizations, pap smears, breast exams, and annual physicals/check-ups. Because of campaigning from the Health Center and students, the administration is moving forward with an initiative to cover all gynecology lab costs for every Lehman female student, chlamydia and gonorrhea testing for men (originally only available for women), and a weekly nutritionist. They are also planning to hire a quarterly massage therapist (who would come in during finals), as well as bring in a dentist and optometrist. Currently, the Health Center serves more than 50 percent of the Lehman community, and is the only other CUNY besides Brooklyn College that has a comprehensive health center.

Overall, in terms of security, Lehman's campus is safe for all students, and those who exercise common sense (i.e., not leaving bags unattended) won't ever have their belongings stolen. Because it's a commuter campus, students aren't usually around long enough to leave a lot behind or even have the opportunity to steal stuff.
