Academic Flexibility: Making a schedule depends on when you get onto Cunyfirst to pick your schedule. It's best to take a look at the courses before registration opens up so that you can get first choice. If you wait even 2 weeks you'll most likely get an inconvenient schedule.

Online Courses: I'm taking my first Hybrid class right now and It's a manageable work load. The classroom is a lot less engaged due to the fact that we only meet once week for 6 weeks. We're all strangers to each other and no one talks or asks questions during our once a week lecture. It's extremely boring but if your busy with work or other responsibilities this is a good option.

Overall Experience: Courses and professors depend on who you're stuck with. I've had many good professors and many bad professors as well. If you do your research you should be fine. Ask other students or look them up online at Ratemyprofessor.com

Overall Experience: The faculty here at Kingsborough is terrible and many of the staff have no idea what they're doing. They have told me contradictory statements on multiple occasions and treat you like you're just wasting their time, although in reality if they got their facts straight I wouldn't have had to come to their office multiple times. I've only had one pleasant experience with the faculty here that I can recall, and the other few dozen times were horrible and rude.

Academic Experience: Majoring in Liberal arts was the best decision I've made for myself and I don't regret it one bit. It gives you a chance to explore what motivates you to learn and what subjects you enjoy the most.

Do some research on Ratemyprofessor.com when making your schedule and you're guaranteed to have an awesome time here.I'm very sad to be leaving this college soon, it's a great opportunity for students to raise their GPA and start off college on the right foot.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I have had no problem putting classes into my schedule. I have had some problems but that is normal trying to make all the classes fit into each other and not overlap.

3 College Senior

Career Services: I have not talked to anyone about post-grad services. We do have a class next semester talking about how to transfer everything from KCC to your nest school.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Classes and professors are great. The classes aren't overly crowded. There is just enough students where it is comfortable with everyone to feel like they get time to talk to the teacher. In culinary arts, we have a maximum amount of 18 kids in any cooking class. That is a perfect amount because if we had more then it will be crowded in the kitchen and if we had less we wont get as much done as we need to in the class time.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Each semester you are required to meet with a career advisor where you talk about what you will need in the future and tips on taking on the real world. Throughout campus there are many people who offer help and can answer questions. We have internship classes to take based on your major.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: Taking culinary arts is very fun and enjoyable. KCC requires you to take various classes within the program. You can take baking, food and drink management, cake decorating, front/back of the house. You can take various classes so you can see what you are really interested in specifically in the program.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: So far my experience going to KCC is that there are a lot of people to help you along the way. Yes, the campus is on the beach, you wont have to worry about being hot and sweaty if its hot out. We have many different classes you can take that i havent noticed in other schools. We have a class where you can learn how to drive a boat, we have welding classes, we have an aquarium! I would choose this school if i started over because this is the only community college that offers culinary arts but its a good school to start your career. The culinary program makes you take a bunch of various classes so you arent just cooking or just learning management.

3 College Junior

Career Services: Career center is available to help with seeking out post grad opportunities.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Variety of courses are offered, classroom sizes are reasonable and professors are approachable.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: My experience has been good so far. Transferring credits were no problem.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: Online courses are convenient for handing in work compared with the traditional classroom experience.

3 College Junior

Career Services: Job prospects are usually good depending on your major. Career center is helpful.
