Overall Experience: My overall college experience has been quite interesting. My favorite experience includes, going to the beach which is right outside the campus. At the begin of the semester classes can become overwhelming and going to the beach helped me relax and get through the semester with ease. In my opinion what makes my school unique would have to be the fact that it's next to the water. If I could do it all over I would definitely choose my school. The environment along with the friendly people at my college is the main reason why I would choose this college again if I had to.

Overall Experience: If you go for the classes, it's great! However if you're going for experience, depending on your interests, you might not find what's directly appealing to you.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: What makes my school so unique is that its a beautiful campus, staff & advisors are helpful & theirs a huge variety if majors to chose from all in one package. great for interaction too

Overall Experience: I honestly feel that this transition will be much better now that I have experienced what the school offers. I joined the Science Discovery program for 2 weeks in July. I truly loved the students I worked with, and the professors that taught the lessons. It was truly fascinating how much I could love a place I expected to be difficult.

Overall Experience: Even though this is a community college I feel as if I'm in an University. The diversity of the students make the college experience worth while. From the various student clubs to programs and fairs it's like a big family. The classes are nice and small so every student can fully understand the school work. The teachers are very invested in making sure the students understand the material they're teaching.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: What makes this school unique is its small class sizes and the various degree offers. It also is great that there are four semesters in this school. Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer.

Overall Experience: I will be taking another year

Academic Flexibility: although i have been able to fit classes into my schedule ad seamlessly sign up for them. it has been relatively difficult having to travel to and from school and spend 8 hours per day in classes and clubs and such. many courses only have one professor ad time slot forcing you to rearrange your entire schedule to fit that one class that is necessary for you take into the semester you are registering for

Overall Experience: Although there have been classes i have not learned much i overall have steadily improved my life and skillsets by comming here and am glad that i will be successfully graduating with a 3.7 index. i have not lost any value by comming here but rather slowly gained value. i have had minimal but meaningful opportunities to network and pursue my passions in my industry.

Overall Experience: Professors take minimal interest in cuny students, coursework is reduntant and semi excessive, classes are basic, class sizes are semi small around 20 people per class, low variety of courses offered around several basic courses offered that are mandatory for my major. classes consist mostly of time to work on assignments. other students are not very valuable networking assets and not very passionate

Overall Experience: many oportunities to learn from and network with alumni, semi passionate involved student body if you look hard enough you can find passionate and involved people and clubs. internship and industry connections are not robust and not very helpful. overall school is a decent place to learn but theres low amounts of industry connections

Student Body: Students are not engaged in political or world issues or empowering successful lifestyles. minimal talent and connections for my industry (graphic design) minimal amount of clubs and interactions. i have met 1 or two students that are as passionate and success oriented as me and they have become my best friends. at this school its two oppostie extremes there is no middle ground between passionate and successful and disorganized and disinterested

Tuition & Financial Aid: i was able to set up and receive my financial aid quite smoothly however i receive regular emails saying my financial aid has been revised and needs to be approved and also that they need me to submit my fasfa form when i already have. after going to the financial aid office they told me to ignore the emails and everything is up to date which leads me to beleive there is incoherence in their system and also causes me irritation and stress receiving confusing emails stating my financial aid has been revised when it really hasnt.

Career Services: although the school has a decent graphic design degree program career services have not been able to offer me any internship opportnities in that or any industry i must seek out my own internships. they provide resume building sessions and workshops but overall do not have any robust connections to industry firms and exciting, steady, lucrative, passion driven career opportunities

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Teachers take decent interest in individual students, great resources to computers and needed software, minimal and poor networking opportunities and industry talent in the student population minimal job and internship connections and affiliations between my school and industry firms. minimal to decent amount and quality of events and guest speakers on campus, burgeoning student publications and clubs but not optimal. large work load consisting of many graphic design projects and midterm and final projects which are similar to industry projects i already do on my own time thus teaching me some skills.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Classes for the graphic design major include typography, drawing 1, 2d and 3d animation, phtoshop class, and storyboarding. most classes are basic and professors do not take a huge interest in community college students, not much was learned most of the learning i have done in the past month was through my own independent projects. some information was learned from technical classes such as photoshop class although i was already excelling as the class was basic

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Great environment to network with the top most talented students in the graphics industry. Professors take an interest in individual students and have connections to extremely high profile jobs in the graphics industry, hollywood film industry, music industry, television, etc

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I have taken morning afternoon and night classes, online courses and off campus clinicals. The great part about Kingsborough is that you can alter your schedule to fit your everyday life, take accelerated courses in the winter and summer to get a few classes over with. I have spoken to a few colleges for bachelorette programs and the great news is all my credits can be easily transferred if I want to transfer now or attend after I graduate.

Overall Experience: The stress levels become overwhelming at times and the best part about the campus is that you can walk right out and calm yourself down by the waterfront. Having met many friends I have so much support and so much help I am grateful for what I have at Kingsborough

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: The nursing program is very competitive and content rich. Due to high quantities of students requesting to join the program and to prepare students for the NCLEX licensing exam, the course becomes more and more challenging each semester. I do not mind, I believe everything they are doing is great preparation for this licensing exam

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: Nursing in Kingsborough is rewarding. Many of the professors are looking out for us and help out graduating students in their search for a job. I am not at that level so I am not currently focused on alumni services

5 College Junior

Online Courses: I have taken one online course and am planning to take another one. They are very user friendly and the professors usually require assignments where students interact and it's a great experience. We do research on our own for these courses but it is very manageable, and convenient. The professors are precise in what they expect and how they word each assignment. For any questions, they are easily reached at their emails and reply pretty quick

5 College Junior

Student Body: The beauty of my school is its diversity! We have people from every different background, religion, culture and I love it so much. Everyone is very friendly and we all help each other out. We even have groups on Facebook where students ask questions about courses, professors, textbooks, even things that have nothing to do with school and get responses from other students.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is not bad at all but financial aid is a nightmare. I had full financial aid last year and had to keep checking up on it because I still had a balance on my account. The people in the financial aid office are very hard to speak to, they usually speak with attitude and rush when their with students. I was unable to receive financial aid this year because apparently my parents "make too much money" when in reality my father hasn't been able to work due to a disability in 4 years. I applied again and this time financial aid tells me there is a significant change in income from last years to this years. Paying for this program is eating away at my savings and every effort I made to have financial aid see this, didn't work.
