Academic Flexibility: I have taken morning afternoon and night classes, online courses and off campus clinicals. The great part about Kingsborough is that you can alter your schedule to fit your everyday life, take accelerated courses in the winter and summer to get a few classes over with. I have spoken to a few colleges for bachelorette programs and the great news is all my credits can be easily transferred if I want to transfer now or attend after I graduate.

Overall Experience: The stress levels become overwhelming at times and the best part about the campus is that you can walk right out and calm yourself down by the waterfront. Having met many friends I have so much support and so much help I am grateful for what I have at Kingsborough

Overall Experience: The nursing program is very competitive and content rich. Due to high quantities of students requesting to join the program and to prepare students for the NCLEX licensing exam, the course becomes more and more challenging each semester. I do not mind, I believe everything they are doing is great preparation for this licensing exam

Overall Experience: Nursing in Kingsborough is rewarding. Many of the professors are looking out for us and help out graduating students in their search for a job. I am not at that level so I am not currently focused on alumni services

Online Courses: I have taken one online course and am planning to take another one. They are very user friendly and the professors usually require assignments where students interact and it's a great experience. We do research on our own for these courses but it is very manageable, and convenient. The professors are precise in what they expect and how they word each assignment. For any questions, they are easily reached at their emails and reply pretty quick

Student Body: The beauty of my school is its diversity! We have people from every different background, religion, culture and I love it so much. Everyone is very friendly and we all help each other out. We even have groups on Facebook where students ask questions about courses, professors, textbooks, even things that have nothing to do with school and get responses from other students.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is not bad at all but financial aid is a nightmare. I had full financial aid last year and had to keep checking up on it because I still had a balance on my account. The people in the financial aid office are very hard to speak to, they usually speak with attitude and rush when their with students. I was unable to receive financial aid this year because apparently my parents "make too much money" when in reality my father hasn't been able to work due to a disability in 4 years. I applied again and this time financial aid tells me there is a significant change in income from last years to this years. Paying for this program is eating away at my savings and every effort I made to have financial aid see this, didn't work.

Career Services: I know there are alumni services offered and all the graduates that take advantage of this are very happy but I am not at the stage yet and am not sure on how to use these services yet

Academic Experience: I am currently enrolled in the nursing program and it has it's ups and downs. Clinicals are very enjoyable and with the right lecture professor, lecture is also enjoyable. The professors are very informative and caring of their students. The difficulties come where some necessary programs and books are not covered by the tuition we students pay and it becomes overwhelming for most of us due to the fact that most of us barely have money for the tuition. The office is also extremely unorganized and you need to make sure you have a copy of anything you hand in because it's destined to be lost.

Academic Experience: Kingsborough is a CUNY school, therefore we use the CUNYfirst system for registration. It is a very easy system to use, very organized and simple. For any confusion you can go to an academic advisor so they can help you before or during your registration. The advisors that I have went to have helped me tremendously and I am grateful for their guidance. Most professors are great as well, they teach in a way you want to keep learning even after you finish the class.

Campus Resources: Yes, it is a community college but you definitely have plenty of resources. The library is open every day of the week, very convenient for group studying. The gym is free for students, there's a medical office that offers free services and free tax prep services for students and family members. There are also some campus events such as blood drives, movie nights, free dinners, textbook raffles and many more.
