College Freshman

Campus Housing: I do not use campus housing.

College Freshman

Athletics: I do not participate in athletics, but the pool is beautiful.

1 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Manhattan is impossble to find an apartment that you can afford

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: The city is home to the most diverse dining options.

4 College Freshman

Administration: The administration is as strict as it needs to be and as lenient as it can be.

College Freshman

Party Scene: I have not been to any parties involving my school

5 College Freshman

Scholarships: I am attending under the Macaulay Honors scholarship. So many opportunities and takes away the stress of debt.

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: A little pricey, and not a lot of options. Overall OK and healthy.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Rooms are more expensive than they are worth.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I don't live off campus.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Being in midtown Manhattan means having plenty of different options within blocks of the school.

3 College Freshman

Administration: The administration is very strict when it comes to your grade relecting your attendance in class.

2 College Freshman

Party Scene: The party scene isn't great. Most parties take place outside of the city, on Long Island.

1 College Freshman

Scholarships: The school refused to give me aid

2 College Freshman

Campus Food: I have Celiac Disease and therefore cannot eat gluten. The cafeteria has little to no food options for me. The options they do have are ridiculously expensive. (ex. a $4 and change granola bar)

3 College Junior

Scholarships: I received the financial aid that I needed, the process went well for me. But, I have some friends on campus where most people they know and also their experience in obtaining the financial aid that they need was sort of a hassle. Most of the times, I went to the J Stop to ask about financial aid, since they are the people to ask about it, if you had a question or a problem with it.

3 College Junior

Party Scene: I usually don't attend parties on campus. Usually the great parties are outside campus: house parties, clubs, and such.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: I usually spend most of my time going to Starbucks on campus, so I can't really say how great the food is on campus, since I don't really go to the cafeteria often.

4 College Junior

Local Area: There are many things that can be down around my school area. Many different food restaurants and to a shopping center few blocks up. Many of the locals attitude are nice towards students but there are many that are just working. A good thing being around the city is because you are able to get somewhere in walking distance.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: There are many girls and guys at my school with different backgrounds and ethnic roots which is the best. The reason is the best is because their are many you can communicate and relate to. The big factor in typical students is the diversity, many students from different parts of the world.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: Overall my experience at John Jay has been great. There is always someone you can talk to you that is willing to help you out and guide you to a new direction. I would choose my school again because I was interested in a specific major and the school is recognize for what I am looking for.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: My experience with my courses at John Jay has been great, there are variety of course you can take from each department. The quality of the courses at school are beneficial because they are related to the course. Also, the professor are a prime example of excellence and prior experience.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The amount of professors that are examples of working in the field many students want to work in. The internship and job services given in school help many students achieve their dream. The career center provides many advantages for students to branch on and support the student in anything they want to achieve.

5 College Junior

Health & Safety: It is safe to say the security in campus is the great because they are there when you need help and answer any questions you have. The police and safety services in campus is known because they are usually spread out in campus and are very cooperative with any situation. I feel safe on campus because there is good security and the police strictly do their job.

2 College Senior

Campus Food: The food was not good, very cold and to expensive
