Health & Safety: The campus seems secure. There are guards and turnstiles so you can't just get into a building if you aren't a student.

Athletics: I'm not a fan of sports and do not follow any Hunter College teams.

Overall Experience: Hunter College, part of City University of New York (CUNY) is a great value. Although the campus is a little shabby, it is conveniently located in Manhattan, and there are many classes and programs to choose from. Many of the teachers Are experts in their field. CUNY students and scholars win many awards each year. If you are willing to work hard you can get a lit out of the school.

Overall Experience: So far it as been a learning process and it gets better each semester. My favorite experience would the time there was an open mic night in the cafeteria it was nice to see hunter students laughing and joking around. My school is unique because of the fact that i consider it my second home .If im not home then im surely at hunter.

Health & Safety: The campus is quite safe. There's guards everywhere and I haven't felt like my safety was threatened at all.

Overall Experience: There's great career opportunities for students due to the career services and employer recruiting. Top companies come on campus to recruit students. There's always sessions to review and update resumes with advisors that help with finding jobs.

Greek Life: There's not a very known Greek life at Hunter

Athletics: There's not much excitement for sport teams. It's more academics oriented

Overall Experience: This is a good school because teachers are always trying to make the school and classes better. Most teachers that I have encountered care about the students and make great effort in making classes engaging for the students. The college is great for nursing and liberal arts majors but it's lacking for economics and accounting majors compared to Baruch.

Health & Safety: haven't had trouble myself, but it's a major metropolitan area so crime happens.

Overall Experience: Am very pleased with quality of education.

Greek Life: Greek Life is prominent in spurts throughout the semester, either hosting fundraisers or trying to recruit new members into their organizations. They are a friendly part of the school community and are welcoming to new members.

Athletics: School spirit isn't very strong in my school, mostly because it is a commuter school. The facilities there are used by average students, which does create a bonding experience among the students.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Overall my experience in school is pretty lackluster, I have always seen potential in myself to do better in school but other obligations, such as paying for school, have always gotten in the way of that. I have managed to make it work this far into my undergraduate career, which is something I am most proud of.

Athletics: Haven't explored the student athletic facilities yet

Overall Experience: First semester here- so far so good

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: 4/5 because it lacks an actual campus which adds to the whole college experience. Other than that this college is one of the best CUNY's in the city. Well known for their nursing programs and science department. If I could I would definitely choose this school again and make the most out of their numerous clubs and extra curricular activities.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

Overall, Hunter College is great if you are seeking a quality education at an affordable price. The Hunter experience is one that includes making friends from around the world, learning from top-notch professors, and having the opportunity to intern and work for great New York-based companies.

While most students bemoan the fact that Hunter is a commuter school that limits their college experience in some way, others tend to appreciate being able to pay for school without having to take out extensive loans, which makes up for not having a sprawling campus or on-campus accommodations. While Hunter definitely does its part in ensuring that students who pass through the doors (or turnstiles) are knowledgeable enough about the world to succeed once they graduate, Hunter students are also expected to take an active role in making their college experience as rewarding as possible. Be prepared for intense classes that require independent preparation. Don't forget to visit Career Development Services to find ways to jump-start your career through internships; also, join an organization that interests you, and always take initiative to make your Hunter experience as good as you want it to be.
