Overall Experience: At first, like any regular incoming freshman you will fell goosebumps because the insecurity of being able to adapt to a college environment. Unlike high school, college is way different when it comes to peer pressure. Absolutely no one in college pressured me to do anything. Instead, this school was able to make me feel more confident and comfortable with me being who I am and assimilating into this melting pot I once found hard to do. I will definitely recommend for those intended to save money for grad school to start of here. City University Of New York has the best and affordable schools!

Overall Experience: The college campus is not big so it's easy to get to know your way around. They offer tutoring in school and online to help students in need. Advisers are always there to help a student with registration progress, advice on what the next step is and help out with any problem the student might have.My school is unique because it's location is in the city so getting to school is easy due to subways ,buses, taxis , etc. Also my school sends it's students about deadlines and events as well as sends mails so the students are always alert on whats going on in school and in their academic progress. The only bad thing is that some teachers can be rude but other than that the school is great.

Overall Experience: BMCC is a great college and a lot of friendly people help each other all the time. The tution is cheaper than other colleges but teach students the same things like other colleges. The student usally can receive e-mails about doing the course and professor evaluating, having the meeting, disgussion, any festival events' invitation and sweeptakes. This college is a good cuny college.

Overall Experience: This school has a lot of great professors who will try to help you succeed. I've also had some professors that were not so great, but they were a few compared to the good ones. The school has three buldings: Main, Murray, and Fiterman, so make sure you know which ones your classes are in so you don't get lost. What makes this school unique is the diversity of students. They come from all walks of life and it's very interesting to get to know them. If I had to choose whether I would attend my school all over again, I would. With over 30 majors and student clubs, it's possible to find what you're most interested in here.

Overall Experience: The experience so far at BMCC has taught me greatly. From first entering the main campus entrance to exiting the building on my last day of finals, has given me so much self knowledge. As many first year college students can relate to, I was completely lost when trying to find classes. For about the first week or two I felt like an outsider because I didn't know my way around the building. However, as the days went on more parts of the campus became familiar to me. Then suddenly I realized that sometimes you have be in uncomfortable situations, such as being lost, in order for you to learn. In return this new knowledge gave me access to different offices and resources. I use this lesson learned for all my classes, as well as life outside of campus. Never give up when you come across new, peculiar situations. Look around for clues or help that will guide you to the answers you need to know.

Overall Experience: I believe the education department needs to inprove on their process to register for classes. The service can be improved if the staff is more informed.

Overall Experience: I would choose the school again if the way they operate was different. Everything is a hassle when it comes down to advisement, registeration, and the chances within the school. Staff needs to be more well informed so their isnt such a hassle.

Academic Experience: I love my major.... So far I have taken 3 classes with my major and only one professor wasnt good. She didnt take control of the class and then she had no control at the end of the semester. In regards to my other two classes, my experience was amazing. I learnt so much. What i love the most was that the classes had no exams. This is because i dont believe in testing.

Academic Experience: I love my major. So far i have taken 3 classes with my major and only one professor wasnt good. She didnt take control of the class. I pass the class with an A because I did all the work required of me, but i learnt nothing from her. In regards to my other two classes, my experiencw was amazing. I learnt so much from them. What I love the most was that the classes had no exams. THis is because i dont believe in testing. I believe through learning and being tought the information and then reflecting on it though your own research is the best way to make it stick.

Campus Resources: Hello, I feel as if they have alot of students working in the school and they are not aware with information. You ask them a question and they ask someone else the question to get the answer. I feel that it is great for them to be employed, but the fact that they dont have information that fellow students need to know just do not work. I am not involved in all the extra activities nor do I know about them becuse I work full time and go to school full time.

In reality, there are many ways to approaching college life; college is what you make of it. When you walk into BMCC for the first time, you'll probably notice the huge amount of unique people on campus. Many students come from foreign countries and have goals and aspirations that differ from yours. However, these people will be your peers. Fitting in may seem cliché when you see the diversity on campus, but everyone meshes because being different is OK. People on campus are friendly and generally interested in networking outside of their usual crowd, so making new friends isn't difficult. There are many social clubs and activities to keep you interested, and having leadership positions in these organizations is a great resumé booster. During your time at BMCC, you'll grow and learn from classmates.

Aside from the great environment, BMCC offers a lot to its students. Organized outings to Broadway shows like "The Lion King" and "Phantom of the Opera" help students expand their horizons. Tickets to the Yankee's games or New York football teams will excite sports fanatics. And for students who need to relax, the school offers a spa day to help you de-stress.
