Overall Experience: Friendly environment. Some professors are helpful. Some professors don't care.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: I do love starting out in a community college. At first I didn't want to go but I love that this school is preparing me for life ahead and also teaching me the classes I need to take.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Some teachers go above & beyond for it just being a county college. Prof Fordyce, an adjunct prof, will read and respond to every assignment he gives out. Prof Haller makes home-baked chocolate chip cookies for her finals and will extend every due date possible for a student. Some of these teachers are the difference between crying over a grade and getting a second chance on a bad one.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Courses overall aren't as clear-cut as one would expect from a county college. Professors range from horrible to amazing. Depends on who you take. Overall most professors are nice and willing to accommodate to a busy schedule or work overload

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Using NJ STARS to get a 2 year degree with the plans to transfer to a 4-year college. There is on campus work such as tutoring and security. I tutored, found it more difficult and troublesome than anything and did not get paid for the majority of the work I did. Melissa, who runs the tutoring, is literally the sweetest person in the world. It is a great experience for someone with a little more free-time to work around the pretty strict timesheet schedule.

Overall Experience: I am going to love my degree

Online Courses: It's great I wound rather be in a classroom

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: They are what they need to be

Campus Resources: The college could be bigger and offer more. Cumberland County college is heading in the right direction.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: It's a good school. All the professors that I've had so far have been very nice and also passionate about their subjects. They want you to do well and succeed and that helps a lot. There are a ton of courses offered and plenty to choose from. Every professor has their own teaching style, and it's really hit or miss with that and how well you learn from their style of teaching. Class sizes are generally 20-30 people but usually closer to 20.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I really don't have any clue

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I haven't had to transfer credits but I changed my major twice and that went smoothly

4 College Junior

Student Body: I have social anxiety and no friends that attend the college and I don't know how to make friends. I honestly have no clue.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: The athletic center is great with a free fitness center for students. The student center has a lot to provide and is easy to navigate. The library is a good place to study. There are plenty of clubs.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: I haven't taken an online course, but one course that I had was run like an online course. All of the work was done through blackboard and the professor had us complete blogs and discussion board topics. There was really no point in even going to the class because the professor didn't really teach in class. Everything was online.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I recently changed majors so I can't really discuss my program but the workload hasn't been too bad. The professors are very nice about the high school to college transition. The facility is very nice. It seems as if it is fairly new or has been renovated. There is a gym with a fitness center that is free for students to use. There are also plenty of computer labs around campus. I don't know anything about internship or job opportunities.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: All of the professors that I have had thus far have been very nice. The curriculum is just like any other college I would guess. Registration process is easy, advisement is available, but you can also register online by yourself if you choose. The workload that I personally have had has not been too much. They say 3-4 hours for each class that you have, but I haven't put nearly that much time in yet. Online and hybrid classes are available as well as normal classes. Class sizes average about 20-30 I would say. Free tutoring is offered. There are also tons of majors you can choose from, or you can choose to go undeclared.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I had a few troubles with financial aid but that might just be because I'm clueless as to what I'm doing

4 College Junior

Career Services: Great for a community college. Most faculty members are very helpful and polite

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I get NJSTARS, and went uninformed during my 4 years of highschool that fees were not covered. Quite a few other students found they had gone uninformed too, which was especially odd considering CCC had sent representatives into local highschools to speak specifically about NJSTARS.

Online Courses: School uses Blackboard, in addition to normal class hours and in-class work, and many students including myself find it not very convenient and very annoying. School also utilizes MyLabs(and all of it's variants) which often fails, shuts down, stops working on some browsers.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Many students are Biomedical Heath Sciences students with the intention of transferring to another 4yr college to complete their degree, so classes fill quickly and it can be very hard to get the classes you need to match your curriculum. Not many job opportunities besides tutoring.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Professors are stuffy but helpful in this dept, one is very old and notorious for his uselessness.

4 College Junior

Student Body: Student body is awesome. There is so much diversity and you honestly do not know the type of person you'll come across. My entire lab group, besides me, was Mexican and they were some of the most wonderful people I've ever met (& they taught me some spanish).

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: As you get into more course-based classes, the classes become later in the day which makes it hard for someone like me who works two jobs to plan for.
