Campus Housing: It is great the rooms are a lot better than others i have seen. Everything is close by and you are in a great location. It is wise to have a car on campus though.

Campus Housing: I have not moved on campus yet, but I did visit the dorms and they are really nice. The environment is clean and a great place to spend your college days. It's expensive, but I plan to work and apply for as many scholarships as I can to help pay for my college. I went to school a few miles away so I'm familiar with the area. I hope I will be able to get into the dorms.

Academics: I am an Exercise Sports Science major. The professors are so enthusiastic! Awesome internship opportunities.

Academics: Most classes are fun and interactive

Campus Quality: Our campus is very green

Local Area: Irvine is super pretty with lots of parks and lakes. Super safe and clean.

Guys & Girls: Diversity. Some super attractive, who tend to hang out with the other super attractives. Some super nerdy, who tend to hang out with the other super nerds. Most people are normal/average.

Health & Safety: We have counselors and nurses on campus. Everything is free and confidential.

Overall Experience: I am extremely happy here at Concordia University. I couldn't picture myself anywhere else. I've made great friends and connections with professors.

Overall Experience: Professors are great. The average class size is about 25, so the profs really get to know you individually (and by name!) and are more than willing to help if you are struggling. Office hours are key. Say hello to them in the caf, they like that. We have a unique class-pairing called Concordia Core (no, it's not the common core). Freshman and sophomore year you have pairings of two gen-ed classes per semester. So Freshman year you take Math with Philosophy and Biology with Theology. Sophomore year you take English and History both semesters. Class registration is easy. Freshman year first semester the counselors make your schedule for you, super simple! Registration for classes after that semester is an online process and you usually get into every class you want. The counselors also give you a 4 year grad plan your freshman year that tells you exactly what classes you need to take and when to take them. Super helpful.

Overall Experience: We have great internship opportunities here. I am an Exercise Sport Science major and my senior year I have to go out into the field I want to pursue, physical therapy, and have rotations/clinical experience in order to graduate. They really push getting out there and experiencing things through internships.

Athletics: If you're a student athlete, you get a lot of perks on campus like priority registration and early selection of dorms. Midnight Madness is our most attended sporting event on campus. The on campus gym (for non-athletes) is pitiful and hardly ever open.

Off-Campus Dining: We share the University Center with UCI and it's right down the street. All kids of food there. Trader Joe's, Chick-fil-a, In n Out, Taco Bell, Blaze Pizza, Chipotle, Yogurtland, Baskin Robins, etc. There is also a Korean BBQ place and an iHop right down the hill. The Irvine Spectrum is a short drive too.

Administration: There is no alcohol use permitted on campus, even if you are 21. All of my classes take attendance, you can miss 6 MWF classes, or 3 T/R classes before being dropped from the class. Cheating is very strict, and can get you dropped from the class. We turn in all of our essays online to SafeAssign, a website that scans plagiarism between websites and other students' papers. We have quiet hours in the dorms which are 10pm-10am every day, but they aren't very strict on that. We also have privacy hours, meaning no person of the opposite gender is allowed in a room from midnight-8am, and on weekends 2am-8am. Parking is a hassle, there are more students than parking spots it seems. Living on campus and not having to fight for a spot is the way to go. If a friend or parent is coming to visit you, they have to stop at the guard gate (yes, our campus is a closed campus secured by two guard gates at the two entrances to the university). All they have to do is say they are visiting a friend and state that friends name.

Scholarships: The staff was so helpful with all the requirements you need to provide. Just call and ask, they are super friendly. I received a call from my admissions counselor with the great news that I was being considered for a full tuition academic scholarship. They explained what it was and what I had to do in order to submit my application. It was a smooth process.

Campus Food: Breakfast is the best meal on campus. Amazing custom breakfast burritos, sandwiches, and omelets. A waffle maker. Pancakes, French toast, bacon, hash browns, eggs, ham. Fresh fruit. Oatmeal and cereal. Bagels, banana bread, pastries, muffins. It's amazing.

Lunch is sometimes hard to get to if you had mid-day classes because of the limited hours. The food menu is sent to our emails every morning saying what will be served for both lunch and dinner for that day. The salad bar and grill are always open and never change. The grill makes grilled chicken, quesadillas, burgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese, etc. There is also a vegan food section and we accommodate to gluten allergies too. There are two sections that have different food every day and every meal. There is a lot of variety. They serve a lot of meat so it's a little difficult if you're a vegetarian. Amazing dessert bar with an ice cream machine and a slushy machine. Once a month we have 'themed' days in the caf where the food will resemble a certain culture or country and the tables will all be decorated.

Dinner is never the same meal as lunch, but same criteria as above.

Campus Housing: We don't have the typical '3 person to one room' dorms here. We have suites, which consist of 2 people on each side of the bathroom (so 4 people total). Each side has an individual room for each person separated by two walk in closets. If needed, the closet doors can be opened to provide a 'wall' and give you more privacy. It's a Jack and Jill style bathroom only shared by the 4 suite-mates. It's very spacious and I have my own 3 walls that I decorated and made more homey.

For upperclassmen, we have the option of living in the quads, or on-campus apartments. These rooms include a living room space, kitchen, and two full sized bedrooms shared by 4 students (2 in each room). In this case, you are sleeping in the same room as your roommate, but you get the added benefit of having a living room space and kitchen.

Even though we are a Christian school, we do not have certain halls that are strictly one gender only. I live in a hall where one suite next to mine is girls, but the suite on the other side and across from mine are guys. We get along great and always hang out in each other's rooms. My best friends all live in my hall.

Our halls are outdoors, we do not have an enclosed building. I like this aspect because I can study at my deck with the door open and get the outside breeze and air in my room.

Athletics: There are a lot of students involved in athletics. Our teams typically perform very well, there's lots of support from the student body, and I think we have a lot of school spirit.

4 College Freshman

Majors: Haven't had an internship, but I plan to and know that Concordia is very good about getting you connected with good ones.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Nice rooms, pretty average cost, good amenities.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: A lot of fast food restaurants, but also some nice dine-in ones. Not a lot of student discounts, but very convenient.

4 College Freshman

Administration: Students are made aware of the policies, but no one is made to feel like a criminal or bad person.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: The majority are super friendly and both guys and girls here are awesome. I'm a sophomore and currently dating a senior so there are eligibles and I have no complaints.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I do not live off campus but intend to for senior year. I have been over in those apartments frequently and can't wait to share one with friends!

4 College Freshman

Majors: I major in International business. So far, I did not encounter any problems. This is a first time for me to take business class in my life, but we start from the introduction of business and management, and it is really great program.
