Although concordia wasn't my top pick, I am so glad I came here. It is my home! People are so friendly and often form long-lasting relationships. From Core to the academic showcase to the Honors program, there are a lot of ways to grow academically. Professors will have lunch with you, make tea for you, and tutor you in whatever you need help with. Although tutors and TA's are available, the professors themselves are very invested in helping you succeed. There are also many opportunities in the student leadership program. The only complaints I have would be the separation between athletes and the rest of the student population. Although the dorms are larger than many dorms at other colleges, at this point they are old and falling apart so really not that great.

Professors are great. The average class size is about 25, so the profs really get to know you individually (and by name!) and are more than willing to help if you are struggling. Office hours are key. Say hello to them in the caf, they like that. We have a unique class-pairing called Concordia Core (no, it's not the common core). Freshman and sophomore year you have pairings of two gen-ed classes per semester. So Freshman year you take Math with Philosophy and Biology with Theology. Sophomore year you take English and History both semesters. Class registration is easy. Freshman year first semester the counselors make your schedule for you, super simple! Registration for classes after that semester is an online process and you usually get into every class you want. The counselors also give you a 4 year grad plan your freshman year that tells you exactly what classes you need to take and when to take them. Super helpful.

I am an Accounting and Finance major in the School of Business. I love it to be perfectly honest! The workload is challenging but manageable with my other responsibilities such as work and club involvement. If I am having difficulties in a particular subject there is numerous resources for me as a student, such as tutoring or professor help. All the School of Business professors have business industry experience and willingly use their business resources to help students succeed in their future careers. For the School of Business, it is required that students complete an internship which is important for work experience and a great opportunity for all students to have.
