Administration: One thing I will never understand is the maximum of three absences. I hold a 3.6 grade point average and I think I can handle missing classes. I am paying to attend this school. I appreciate professors concern and the school trying to motivate the students to go to class but this is not high school. If I fail out it's not really your problem to deal with. Unless you are paying my tuition I do not think it is fair for you to worry about my attendance, especially, if I am holding mostly a 90% or higher in most of my classes.

Scholarships: I was given a scholarship and that made my decision a lot easier to attend this school. However, it has not been easy taking care of the rest of tuition. I do not have any tips

1 College Freshman

Party Scene: The student body that lives on this campus lacks maturity and I had certain expectations coming to this campus for social life. I have been very disappointed in the social life that exist here at ccad.

2 College Freshman

Campus Food: I think it is ironic how the school stresses health and taking care of yourself, especially your freshman year, however the food that is available to the students is overpriced and carb saturated causing many problems for students.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: To live on campus at Columbus College of Art and Design is something that is convenient when it comes to having a full load of classes. However, I feel there are somethings that could be improved.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Off-campus housing immediately next to the school can be very costly. They are nice though! And mostly furnished. The availability fills up quickly though.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Everything is around campus or is just a 15-20 minute walk onto High street where there are many types of ethnic cuisine. I personally love all of the asian restaurants down near the Short North. Everything is not too expensive though.

4 College Sophomore

Administration: I think that the strictness here on campus is to keep the students feeling safe and I have ever felt threatened by anything here.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I really wish there were more opportunities for financial aid. A way to make things more smoother is to use your direct email for communication.

College Sophomore

Party Scene: I actually never hear of parties on campus. Maybe 1 or 2 far apart from each other. The schools party scene is very low.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: It's nice that they take recommendations for options but the food is a bit greasy. Sometimes, the food is a bit random and weird.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I live in the apartments and it is very nice! There is almost never any noise and there is always a security guard or two very near. It's clean and I always feel safe.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: It's nice knowing that there are security guards everywhere and that there are RA advisors willing to help lead you in the direction you need to go if you're in trouble. I feel very safe here!

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I really wish that there were more scholarships and financial aid choices if you are on end and have little to no options left.

Keep a high GPA and scholarships and financial aid is a good sign; also Fafsa ASAP :)

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: The people are super nice, and I have seen some hook-ups in my school :). Some are a little rude, but I tend not to pay heed to them.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: The food is good for it's quality, but it's a very high price and sometimes there's not many options.

5 College Freshman

Academics: I thoroughly enjoy having all of the amazing teachers over here; they really know their stuff, and I've been learning things I've never knew were existing because of the positive teachers in the CCAD community. Very professional.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Though it's small, I enjoy having my own personal space, and I enjoy being able to communicate with fellow students in my dormitory.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There's tons of restaurants that are in walking distance for any CCAD student.

4 College Freshman

Local Area: Yes, there are a little bit of frights here and there, but it's seriously a nice thing to be living in the city!

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: For me, I'm not really much of a party- person, and prefer not to go to many if there are any :)

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: While there are many close and nice apartments that are around CCAD, the cost can be a huge factor on weather or not a student can afford to live there. Some are really cheap, but those are the ones that usually have poor housing and landlords as well. Other than that, the campus does try its hardest to recommend a good place to stay for students who are wishing or desire to live off-campus.
