At the start of my semester my experience was off to a rocky start, just because of the transfer between high school where you are told by teachers what to do step by step, then jumping into college where I was required to be a self starter. Columbia State has made me mature in more ways than one my determination has improved tremendously; columbia state also helped me break my bad habit of procrastinating. The professors there are wonderful as well, but they will only help you succeed if you want yourself to succeed. If I had the chance to go back and redo the first semester of my freshman year I would not change a thing.
I am returning to school after graduating from high school 11 years earlier. It has been very intimidating. The staff, including my advisor and professors, have been very helpful in my transition at this new stage of my life. It has been greatly appreciated. I know I will have more questions and run into problems along the way that I will not know my way around but feel very comfortable going to the staff with questions. Classes have been interesting and keep my attention well, considering my issues with concentration. I really look forward to my future studies at this school. I can't wait for my family to see me walk across the stage. I am proud of be a Columbia State Charger!
I have not had much experience with Columbia. I am an upcoming freshman and soon to be softball player for Columbia. I cannot wait to start going to college the and play my sport with all the new girls. I'm so excited to meet know people and get to know my coached and my professors. I cannot wait to learn new things and slowly get closer to my goal of becoming a pharmacist. Every class I take at Columbia is one step closer to my life dreams. I also had a dream of playing softball in college and I get that chance now When I toured Columbia it was my favorite campus I toured. It wasn't big but it wasn't small and everything i together so I don't have to worry about getting lost. It also was homey ad I like the idea of to having very big classes. I like the idea of having classes that aren't much bigger than my high school classes I have now. I'm a very nervous person with anxiety when meeting new people so I believe Columbia will be the perfect place for me.
