Overall Experience: I would definitely go back to CSU if I had to redo my past!

Overall Experience: I enjoyed going to CSU, even if I did have to write over 400 pages in two years.

Overall Experience: I'm very glad I went to CSU. Just because it is a distance education school does not mean you will get a free ride to a degree. At CSU, you have to earn your grade, or you won't pass your classes.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The price for credits are in the budget, unlike other online schools which chargers way more for credits.

Campus Resources: It's a completely online school.

Career Services: I haven't graduated yet so I wouldn't know how alumni is treated

Tuition & Financial Aid: I wish I was eligible for financial aid. I have applied and have been turned down. I also wish I was more familiar with grants for adults returning to school because I have had a hard time finding good information on how to apply for those

Campus Resources: Campus resources are easily managed and readily available

3 College Senior

Student Body: Hard to answer this as all classes are taken online

Overall Experience: I love my experience at my school. As an adult returning to school after many years, Columbia Southern University has offered me the challenge and availability to pursue my degree

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: The distance learning limits the answers to these questions but the workload and curriculum are a perfect match as far as challenging and manageability

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: The programs offered by my school are right in line with my line of work. The registration process and programs are very easy to navigate

4 College Senior

Online Courses: I love Columbia Southern University's convenient classes. They are easy to navigate and the information is readily available.

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: CSU is a 100% online university allowing for the student and their coursework to be as flexible as it comes. While it has a solid structure on due dates the student choses their hours they apply to complete the classwork.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Columbia Southern University (CSU) has been great in making enrollment all the way to applying for financial aide and everything in between a very smooth process.

The adminstration staff is just awesome in their quick responses when questions are asked. They responsed quickly and very professionally.

Career Services: CSU does have a career center which helps you find jobs. They also have the CSU Alumni network, which I believe could be useful for many of the students in law enforcement to get jobs through other CSU alumni.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I have never had an issue with the financial aid, everything is taken care of for me. I just fill out the FAFSA each year, and CSU does the rest.

5 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I was able to transfer all of my previous college credits, as well as multiple certifications into CSU for full credit. I am very pleased with their process and find them to be a just and fair school.

Student Body: Many of the students at CSU are in the military, law enforcement, or fire fighters. I do not believe it's a school widely advertised or shopped around, which is great because it doesn't bring negative attention to the fact that its entirely online. One of my fears is how online colleges still have lingering negative reputations, which for the diploma mills that caused them were deserved, however CSU is not a diploma mill and I work harder here than I did at the local college I attended.

The actual student body is very diverse, ethnically and economically speaking, however I doubt many rich kids attend CSU as it does not have the prestige their parents are likely wanting.

College Senior

Campus Resources: As a 100% online school, CSU does not offer athletic centers or other campus resources.

5 College Senior

Online Courses: I have attended both online and brick-and-mortar schools. The main difference is that online courses require a lot more effort to be proactive and get all of your work done on your own time. You also have to participate in discussion boards, whereas in a traditional classroom you may never have to speak to another student at all. I believe this instills a sense of comradery, despite never meeting in person and being an online school.

I've found that the online professors respond to emails very quickly, and answer questions better than the traditional classroom professors I've had. It's a trade off for doing more work in the convenience of your home, or going into school and having less work. I do firmly believe that I learn more, and do more, in the online courses than traditional courses.
