4 College Junior

Academics: If you take the time and utilize the tools afforded to you by CC, you will do very well. The one thing that really stands out to me is the Stafford Library link. It allows you to look up things based on topic and you can narrow it down to peer-reviewed works to guarantee validity of sources used in your reports.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: I do not have a fair assessment of this part yet because I have just recently begun. So far though, everything seems to be just fine.

College Sophomore

Academics: There doesn't seem to be much of a difference yet.

4 College Junior

Academics: The courses are thorough and the professors make sure you leave the class with the knowledge retained.

4 College Junior

Academics: I'm not sure how to describe it. I don't know what it is like to be another major.

Columbia College markets the school with the slogan: "Discover how big small can be." That statement could not be more true when looking at the academic excellence and variety provided in both the day, evening, and online campuses. The education provided to students who choose the school allows for well-deserved individualized attention. The academic departments at Columbia College include art, business administration, computer and mathematical sciences, criminal justice administration, human services, education, general studies, history and political science, human services, humanities, mathematics, political science, psychology and sociology, and science.

The academic experience is at the core of a solid college degree. At Columbia College, the faculty and staff combine traditional arts and sciences with a contemporary perspective on the working environment necessary to be competitive in today's job market. Many of the programs also offer an internship option that allows for practicing knowledge in addition to classroom theory instruction. Another advantage to choosing Columbia College is the excellent student-faculty ratio, which helps to foster both individualized attention and a better learning environment.
